I didn't want to spend much on repairing my sons gaming chair as I had already replaced his tilt under seat base. So when the legs broke I decided to buy new wheels spoke base and while I went for cheap option I was genuinely surprised by the quality.There is some assembly not mentioned in the listing and this comes in 7 parts and 10 Allen Bolts.It's much better than the one I removed and my son is happy to try and break the chair for the third timebut 100% happy with this for both it's strength and price

Needed a replacement after my existing plastic base broke and left me in a heap on the floor; this was easy to assemble (it just screws together) and put onto the chair. Works well and seems sturdily made so I'm anticipating no more breakages for a long while.Removing the old base was the only difficult part of the process but I looked up some tips on YouTube and was able to get it done.

Great replacement item. So easy to change over. Much cheaper than a new chair. Good strong material. Definatley fit for purpose

My chair's previous base unit had heavy plastic holes into which the casters went so they buckled. I bought this to replace that one.This base unit sits approx one inch higher than my previous one but that's not an issue. The metal quality is great, assembly is straightforward but as things are tight needs a little work but I take confidence in good tolerances like that. Importantly, the holes into which the casters go is solid metal, so I don't expect them to buckle with movement. Good design, nicely done. Recommended.

Quite easy to assemble, sliding the items together was a little tight, a good thing in my opinion.Feels very sturdy and as a bonus has raised the height of the chair a little.Overall very good product, saved me from having to purchase a whole new computer chair.

A wheel came off my pc chair and broke the legs. This replacement base was easy to set up and is very steady. Bought with a new set of wheels.

The Sytopia Chair base was a a bit of a disappointment. Maybe in chrome this would have fared better, but the black just didn’t hold up well.The box that the base arrives in was much smaller than I initially expected. Foolishly I hadn’t realised this would be DIY. Inside the box are 5 base arms, a plastic dust cover and the base that the chair cylinder slots into. The arms slot into the base, however I noticed that some of the arms seemed to fit in easier than others. I don’t have an accurate measure but I suspected that one of the base slots was marginally bigger than the rest as I really struggled to fit one of the arms in. This led to me see one of the main problems with the black colour, flaking. The colour flakes super easily, during the course of attaching the arms my hands were covered in black shavings and I had noticed that there were big scuff marks already on the arms. Also, as I had started moving the base around the room whilst fixing it, there were also scuff marks elsewhere that were already visible.Undeterred, I attached it to my current chair (harder than I initially realised it would be). It fit well, but it gave me a higher seating position than I expected. Not significantly so, but enough that it was noticeable.The base does look nice, but ultimately the amount of scuffs and paint that chipped off this in a few hours has made me hesitant to recommend. At £35.09 at time of review this seems to be well priced, but I’d go for the chrome version instead which hopefully would hold up better.

This is actually very good. Easy to assemble, sturdy, tough. And there are plenty of YouTube videos out there showing how to change a chairs base

Needed to assemble the legs and push the wheels in till I heard a snap and put the chair on this new metal base. Whole thing took like 30 mins max.

I have a chair that reclines way for back with a kickstand. To counterbalance the recliner, the pole sits farther back on the seat. My floor is also carpet. By trying to scoot forward, the weight leaned the chair forward before it rolled, cracking the center of the plastic base it came with and allowed the pole to slide through to the floor.I bought this with rubber wheels (similar to scooter wheels) to allow the chair to roll easier while the metal base supports the forward-shifting weight while rolling. While the wheels don't spin very well on carpet, the base is strong enough to hold the weight while they do.

This is a very sturdy and strong piece. Much better than a plastic part. Arrived very fast, I highly recommend.
