Bought for my sons birthday, great item but such a shame the ball deflated right after I pumped it up, due to a big slash in it, please send a replacement ball, or I'll be sending it back, also its to put on a door I thought it was wall mounted

So we had an issue with our unit not recognising the ball going through the net which the seller rectified straight away. My little boy loves it and has played with it every day since he got it for his birthday! I didn’t assemble it, hubby did but he didn’t seem to have any issues :)

This is a great toy once you get it working. The scoring unit takes 3 AAA batteries which are not included. It fits onto most door frames via two bolts and a metal arm. The doorframe won't get damaged as it uses foam to protect the door and paint. Once it is set up and running it works very well. Every time the ball goes through the net, the scoreboard lights up and keeps track of the number of balls that go through it.The height is of course fully adjustable, so it is suitable for children of most ages and heights. The score is clearly displayed. The fitting on the doorframe is a bit of a fiddle until you get used to it, but once you know what you are doing it gets easier.Overall this is a great product that has generated hours of fun and I am happy to recommend it.

I actually got this for my office to lighten the mood a little with colleagues. It's intended for kids but I think it makes a better competetive game for the office.With the hoop and backplate, you get all the tools and fixings needed to put it together, a mini ball and a pump for the ball. The backplate has an electronic display and records the score everytime a ball passes through the net. My experience of this is that it works most of the time but it's not flawless.Assembly is reasonably straightforward but this is not something that's ready to go out-of-the-box. It's quite good value for money but the 'cheering' sound when a point is recorded, can get a bit grating.

THESE ARE USED TO SCREW THE HANGERS THAT GO OVER THE TOP OF THE DOOR TO THE 17inches ( 43.18cm ) x 10.5inches ( 26.67cm ) BACK BOARD. THE HOOP HAS A DIAMETER OF 22cm ( 8.66inches ). THE SCORE UNIT SLOTS INTO PLACE AND HAS AN ON/OFF SWITCH ON THE UNDERSIDE AS WELL AS A RESET BUTTON. THE SCORE UNIT TAKES 3AAA BATTERIES THAT ARE NOT SUPPLIED. THERE ARE PEEL AND STICK FOAM PADS WHICH YOU APPLY TO THE CORNERS TO PROTECT THE SCORE UNIT AND TO LEVEL UP THE BOARD. I HAVE DEDUCTED A COUPLE OF STARS BECAUSE THE SCORE DOESN’T REGISTER ON SOME OCCASIONS. ALSO I DON’T LIKE HOW CLOSE THE FLIMSY SCREWS ARE TO THE EDGE OF THE BOARD. THEY LOOK TO ME THAT THEY MAY SNAP THE BACK BOARD WITH TIME. THE CHEAP AND NASTY PUMP DOES WORK AND PUMPS UP THE BALL OKAY. AT THE ASKING PRICE OF £36.99 ($48.34 USD) I FEEL THAT IT IS OVERPRICED BUT ADMIT THAT IT IS FUN. I LIKE IT AS AN EXECUTIVE TOY BUT STOP SHORT OF TOTALLY RECOMMENDING IT BECAUSE OF THE PRICE.

Well that’s the intention anyway.Set up of the basketball hoop set is relatively simple. Just make sure you follow each step of the instruction manual and don’t go off on a “I don’t need the guidance” mission, then you’ll have it set up within 5-10 mins or so.When slid over the top of your door the hoop backboard etc feels really quite sturdy and secure. Furthermore, it’s not likely to cause any damage to your door including the paint on the door, as there’s plenty of soft protective padding that’s stuck to the reverse side of the board to protect it.The hoop and backboard are all really well made and darn sturdy. The manufacture is top quality and the spring-action hoop feels like it could easily withstand years of hard use from kids.The one thing that really lets it down though is the score counting. I kid you not, about half the time it doesn’t detect when a basket has been scored. This is no biggie for me, but my daughter finds it infuriating, and in the end, she just turned off the score counting and celebration aspect.As such, personally I wouldn’t pay over the odds to have this feature on it…as half the time it doesn’t record a score. However, the rest of the set is good. The ball that comes with it along with the pump is a tad cheap and cheerful, but that’s fine.

We like to have a bit of fun in the office, so to add to the foam dart guns we have I ordered this to have in the office!: - The set arrived in a nice looking cardboard box with the backboard, hoop, net, ball, pump, screws and an ok set of instructions. - Assembly was easy enough and took a little time. - There is a plastic film covering the front and back of the backboard, but they don't completely come off which is a pain as it then looks ugly... - The backboard feels quite flimsy and cheap... Not the sort of quality you would expect for this price... - The pump is cheap rubbish, but it did pump the ball up well enough. - The ball is also cheap rubbish, but it does bounce quite high! - It's all fun to play with in the office I have to say. Even our CEO had a go when he came to visit us! - The score counter barely works so we leave it off as it does nothing. - You also need 3x AAA batteries for this just to add...If this was cheaper, I would recommend it. It's cheap, it's flimsy, but it's fun! The only problem is it's priced way too high for the quality!
