Review: Kohler OEM parts likely worth the price in the long run - Glad I went with OEM parts so the job is once and done. Based on the reviews of some of the knock-off options out there. The kit had both parts and given I was taking everything apart there was no way I was just going to change one. The setup I was working on dates back to a build around 2005. My handle had a different setup than most of the ones in the videos but I figured it out. It was held on by a set screw with a set screw. Moved the cover to expose the slot for access to the set screw and the rest was the same as the videos. It's nice that the kit includes some of the waterproof grease that helps hold the o-rings in place. Remember to check that the old ones came out prior to the install. Overall happy with the outcome and my shower now behaves as it should. Review: Exactly what I needed - Easy installation and clear directions. a perfect fit. ## Features - Mixer pressure balance kit - Parts GP500520 and GT77759 in kit - O-ring included - Genuine Kohler part ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B001GZU9FY | | Best Sellers Rank | #62,362 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #52 in Faucet Valves | | Brand | Kohler | | Brand Name | Kohler | | Connector Type | Flanged | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 562 Reviews | | Exterior Finish | painted | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00650531688316 | | Included Components | GP876851 GP76851 | | Inlet Connection Type | Flange | | Item Dimensions | 6.3 x 3.9 x 2.6 inches | | Item Type Name | Kohler GP876851 | | Item Weight | 0.23 kg | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 6.3 x 3.9 x 2.6 inches | | Manufacturer | Kohler | | Manufacturer Part Number | GP76851 | | Material | Plastic | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Number | GP76851 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 2 | | Number of Ports | 1 | | Outlet Connection Size | 1.5 inches | | Outlet Connection Type | Flange | | Size | 2.60 x 3.90 x 6.30 inches | | Thread Size | 1/2" (12.7mm) | | Thread Type | Kohler Pressure Balance Valve Thread | | UPC | 650531688316 065053168831 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Valve Type | Pressure Balance | ## Product Details - **Material:** Plastic - **Brand:** Kohler - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 6.3 x 3.9 x 2.6 inches - **Exterior Finish:** painted - **Inlet Connection Type:** Flange - **Outlet Connection Type:** Flange - **Number of Ports:** 1 - **Outlet Connection Size:** 1.5 Inches - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 00650531688316 - **Manufacturer:** Kohler ## Images ![Kohler GP76851 Repair Kit for Single-Handle Pressure Balance Valve - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51uAVfUXEIL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: how do I find the model kohler shower faucet I have** A: I googled Kohler, found a number to call and spoke to the most useful customer service rep ever. She asked that I take a picture of my shower faucet and send it to her. She identified the model for me. BTW, I installed this replacement valve and it was a piece of cake. The only issue I ran into was installing the balancing valve upside down so the hot and cold were reversed (there are no markings to provide guidance). Easy fix but annoying. **Q: Do these two units come with all necessary o-rings?** A: It does- there is only 1 I believe **Q: Does this come with the two spring seal/seats? Can I buy just those somewher?** A: I remember it having a couple of seals. But they weren't spring seals. Maybe go to Lowes or Home Depot. I saw some seals there one time. **Q: Very difficult to find compatiblity of parts. i have the devonshire shower assembly part # k-t397-4-cp . is this valve universal/fit my shower?** A: I can't say whether the part will fit your model. However, I emailed Kohler customer support, told them my model, and they told me what the correct part was. When I got it, it took less than 10 minutes to install. What helped was checking out beforehand a couple of YouTube videos that others had made. Then when I started, it was like I had done it before, thanks to the videos. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kohler OEM parts likely worth the price in the long run *by L***B on July 19, 2026* Glad I went with OEM parts so the job is once and done.
