Great item!
Nite Ize makes some very useful products, and this is one of them. I own about 14 in various lengths. I'm using this to secure my balcony awning to my railing. I don't know how I ever lived without these, because there are a ton of everyday uses. One you buy a set, you'll have an "Ah ha" moment!

An unexpected purpose for this product, re: CPAP users UPDATED
The 18" length of this GT18-01-2R3 Nite Ize Gear Tie is the only length I can vouch for... but it's transformed the task of daily sanitising nose pillow (1ft / 15mm) and main (6ft / 19mm) hoses for my ResMed CPAP machine, into something more pleasurable than a chore. The thing that makes this so desirable for the job... is its tough but grippy rubberised coating, and the CPAP non-isopropanol sanitising wipes I use to clean with. Was using with a 12" Gear Tie... and that juuust falls short of reaching in as far as I'm comfy with. The 18" version is also a bit girthier, so using the technique below seems to work the wipe into the folds of the 15mm AirFit P10 hose's 'threads' better*.*for AirFit P10, fold wipe down its length in half, twice -- in my case, a DuraCleanse 1%-phenoxyethanol textile wipe available here on Amazon (do not buy wipes w/ >1% phenoxyethanol; it's restricted in EU, JPN, SK, and US, for possible health affects above that concentration -- esp for children)... then push with a straightened 18" Gear Tie into the 15mm hose, twisting down the 'threads' of the hose to wipe out any contaminants. After 'screwing' the wipe in the full length of the 18" tie, reverse direction and 'unscrew', until wipe and Gear Tie emerge (this rids any pathogens the Gear Tie body itself may've brought in whilst 'screwing in)'.Unfold and refold inside-out, then wipe fingers before wiping the inside of the far end of the AirFit hose, where it connects to the main hose.Same proc for main hose... except fold wipe one more time to make it bulkier, so it contacts as much of the inside of the bigger 19mm diameter as possible.--The 18" length won't get all of the 6ft main hose... but my efforts seem to produce two significant advantages vs. not doing this at all, and a soap-and-water scrub with a bottle brush, every 4 days (ResMed's instructions):- significantly less odour when donning prior to use (which I used to remedy with a scrub every day... but 45 mins of work a day + making a sopping mess of my bathroom, was begging for an alternative). This 'screw wipe' works even better, if you take the wipe used on your Airfit P10 or main hose, cut in half, fold up so fits in the hose ends, then store as such, removing at end of day before bed. The evaporating fumes of the remaining phenoxyethanol in the wipe seem to discourage some pathogenic growth, so quite a bit nicer to use between scrubs- this takes literally 10 mins to do, vs. the 45 to clean and 4+ hrs to dry, a soap/water scrub demands (which tbh, also gives moulds and mildew a convenient damp place to grow)- reduced runny nose and sneezing after use, just from doing the proc -- even over tedious soap/water scrubbing and drying, which again is ResMed's official care instructions---I still scrub, make no mistake (esp since this proc with the 18" Gear Tie doesn't reach the middle 3ft of the main hose). But this extends the interval needed to maintain this CPAP equipment by 3 days, nearly dbl'g it... which means I can properly scrub-sanitise the whole lot on the weekend when I have time, vs. every 4 days. So far used this tq 4 wks with no discernable downside. But the 18" length is defo better than the 12".Haven't tried a longer length yet -- Nite Ize does make 24" and even 32" Gear Ties -- latter which potentially cleans all of the main hose (may have to English the hose around a bit, for that last 8" in the middle). But they're also more girthy, esp those end caps... which may not be worth it if the size interferes with this proc. May be worth trying... but for now, the 18" price is right, for making a tedious and messy chore into a few mins' doddle. Will report back after testing both the 24" and 32"... but for now the 18" gets 5 stars from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️--UPDATE 15 SEP 25:Have now tested both 24" and 32" lengths of Nite Ize Gear Ties, w/ DuraCleanse wipes, for ResMed AirFit P10 15mm / 1 ft nose pillow hose and 19mm / 6 ft main hoses. The 32" version is the same girth and endcaps as the 24", just 8" longer -- which is both a benefit and detriment.Benefit: now only the last 8" in the center of the 19mm-diameter main hose escapes swabbing with the above method. That's miles better than missing the center 36" for obvious reasons.Detriment: Turning the Gear Tie with the swab all the way in and out again, gets tricky: by folding the wipe more to create a tighter fit (to force it into the 'threads' of the main hose), you necessarily remove the portion touching the shaft of the Gear Tie, and its grippy rubberised surface. This means two things: 1) there's less contact with the shaft as the endcap is a bigger diameter than it, so less friction to turn the swab in said 'threads', and 2) you can push the swab in, but due to less shaft contact, there's no easy way to wind it out (which with the 18" Gear Tie, was easy to do as less folding insured more wipe getting gripped by the shaft... but less contact in the 'threads').Also, don't like the 32" version for the AirFit P10 -- it's just too long and awkward. Much prefer the shorter 18" or 24" for this task -- plus the shorter length stays more rigid for this use case and technique. Purchased a 24" Gear Tie with a round plastic buckle on the end (basically a hard loop to thread the Gear Tie thru, for better security wrapping things)... not surprisingly a bit easier to use, since the hard buckle can't fit into the AirFit's 15mm hose and becomes a hard stop... plus you can use it as a small handle to turn the swab.I'd say the smart setup for this use case, is the 32" version for the 6 ft main hose, and the buckled 24" one for the Airfit P10. A 64" version is available if desired... tho don't think it'll work much past 32" in length, as the 32" already twists into a corkscrew a bit trying to torque the swab at full depth -- iinm, it's the same girth and endcaps as the 32" version, so even more a no-go for reasons mentioned above.Best thing about Nite Ize Gear Ties... is my unneeded test ties will always find a purpose around the house, so no regrets some won't work for CPAP cleaning. Still five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love Them
Using to hold the cargo net in place in the back of the Jeep. Sure you could use 12ga. copper wire but these have rubber coating that makes them super non-slip. Recommended and would buy again when I need more.

A nice addition to the list of useful doodads.
Sometimes you need something other than a bit of elastic with hooks at the end. This fits the bill!
