The rake's teeth design does a great job on rooted sea weed. I used end section of handle along with the rake handle, tossing it as far out into the lake as possible. I had to drill a hole in that section for the included rope eyebolt. The rake sank quickly and flat with the teeth down.1) The intermediate handle came with a small rubber cap, but it would have not been as comfortable to throw off the palm of my hand.2) The retrieval rope is a little too small diameter to be comfortable with a rake full of sea weed. But that can be changed for a more comfortable rope.3) I never tried the float because I do not have floating surface weeds.The results of raking the bottom proved to be very satisfactory. I highly recommend this product.

Our cove was full of weeds and algae. The rake worked great to help clear it out. I really like the super long handle. After I went out as far as I could reach, I tied the included rope around the end of the handle and threw the rake out to increase my reach.
