The lid of the can never falls into the can after opening. Also, the cut is very smooth, so you don't have to worry about cutting yourself on the can or lid. NIce to have the built in lid lifter, so you never have to touch the lid. We like it and it appears to be well built.You do have to flip some cans upside down and open them from the bottom. Something about the design of those cans. I haven't mastered immediately identifying those can. When they don't open, I just flip them over. Just in case, keep your old opener. That being said, I am not sure that we have used our old opener since we bought this.

great for left or right hand, sturdy, and has held up for a year so far

This is exactly what I was looking for. Years ago pampered chef had one of these and it was way too expensive for what it was. I saw this and was hesitant to order because I wasn’t sure it would be as good of quality. It is just as good if not better.

After I don't know, 30, 40, 50 years, I finally decide to upgrade to the latest technology on my kitchen can opener. Love how there aren't sharp edges and like everybody says, particles of metal going into my food which I never really believed much because I could never see them. But that said I really like the process of how today's can openers open things. I haven't run into a can yet that it doesn't work on.

Best can opener on the market! It also has the ability to open up jars . I have tried others and they don’t compare!
