Those using this for cats, how long before you saw results? Do you plan on giving this forever or just a month or so?

Immediately. When Emy does not take lysine her eye herpes acts up. I was giving her feline l lysine chews, she stopped liking them, even cut up in tiny pieces in her food. Within two day a flare up. Gave her 1/4 tsp in her food of the powdered l lysine at night, she woke up with clear eyes. Yes, she was “prescribed” 500 mg l lysine chews daily by her vet. They are expensive and cats are finicky, so this is a more economical way to dose daily.

Country of origin for the powder? (China?)

Yes. I called Now Foods. The Lysine powder is sourced from China.

Is this the same as what comes in lysine capsules just without the capsule? And how many mg's per serving? Thanks.

Yes, L-Lysine is Lysine. It is the same as what people use to prevent\treat cold sores. It comes in a very large jar. It is a very fine granular product. Info from the label. Supports healthy connective tissue. Supports calcium absorption. Serving size is 1/4 teaspoon. (552 mg) Number of servings per container 822.

Was your bottle bloated? Mine arrived with the top seal & bottom of bottle convex--like it's overblown with too much air.

No. Return the bottle. Bloating would indicate contamination; probably moisture and bacterial contamination of that bottle. This can occur if something contaminates a container before or during the filling process. It is a rare event, but it can occur.
