Easy to find what you're looking for as the book is broken out into categories (ie, breakfasts, poultry, beef/pork/lamb, drinks & snacks, etc. There are pictures on every page!! LOVE this. Tells me what i'm making and what it should look like in advance! (Great for those of us who don't have the best eyesight anymore)Easy to follow directions with helpful tips along the way.

information
excellent recipes. Some important info on training and why we eat what we eat

Average healthy recipes.
Had recipes that were reasonably healthy but not what I would consider well balanced or delicious. The ratings for use were not particularly helpful as most said pre and post workout. Don’t think they were organized or developed to maximize pre and post workout nutrition.

Awesome
My two older kids are athletes and want to make sure they are eating well. This means I have to make sure I have new snack options and fresh ideas for dinners. This cookbook is great. Love how the authors explain things, I'm inspired by the snack ideas. I will have the kids tell me what they want to try and they will do the cooking.

Quantities are not usually what’s on hand
Most of the recipes in the book are for 2 persons. So if you were to use the whole one pound package of meat for instance you have to multiply out all the ingredients. In the case of the lamb meatballs that was times 4. I think most people will make that using the whole lb of meat. I think more realistic sizes based on how you would cook it would be better. Who only uses 4 oz of meat? Leftovers certainly are great since you put in the effort. They think you’re going to freeze the other 12 oz and make a new recipe or 3????? I find the editing for quantities tedious.

Disappointed
Almost all the recipes I’ve tried so far are absolutely delicious. The problem I have with the book is that almost all the recipes are only two servings. Do everyday athletes not have families to feed? I’ve had to double everything which is doubly frustrating first when I’m making my shopping list and again when I’m following the recipe to cook the meal. I’m a big fan of America’s Test Kitchen, but this was not their best work.
