XCAR Roof Rack Basket with Extension, 64" x 39" with Cargo Bag & Net

It made it from Texas to Connecticut, with a couple of out-of-the-way side trips. It fit two suitcases and a lot of shopping bags full of stuff. It rained a couple of the days (light rain) and it kept our stuff nice and dry. It installed really easy and was very sturdy once installed. There was room behind the bag for other, less important things that could get wet. The net and hooks kept everything secure. All in all, for the price I think it's a good deal!

Can’t complain. The only thing is the supports on back end that go to the racks, don’t seem to line up perfectly. And the screws for the bin at rear of rack I had to use a separate bolt and nut. The plastic clamp would not fit oroperly. Overall it works and nothing is loose. It is worth the price you pay. I would recommend this to others.

Only 1 month in to use and one solid camping trip down, this unit preformed well. Solid construction and easy to assemble especially with power tools. Can't comment on paint/coating holding up on the unit for daily use as it is in storage most of the time, mainly because of the increased wind noise and drag on the vehicle when at speed. Again that is to be expected from any sort of roof rack you mount to a vehicle. Luckily no annoying whistles on the highway for our installation even at 80+. I can not comment on the included cargo bag yet as it hasn't been used but just looking at it seems like its of solid construction. We did use the included cargo net along with some ratchet straps for load securement and everything held up great. The included metal carabiners give you great piece of mind that you wont lose the net even without all of them attached to the rack. Overall would recommend so far great value product that meets expectations.

Sturdy and strong! Fit firmly and securely to the top of my 2008 ford expedition for a road trip from Florida to Tennessee. No issues. Im very happy with this purchase so far.

Basket itself is great, cargo net was not very good. It barely made it 30 miles before the netting snapped at one of the hooks then another snapped about 150 miles later . The cargo under the net was individually bungied to the basket, very secure. A tarp was placed between the cargo and the net, not sure what could have stressed the net to pop several cords. Luckily I brought rachet straps to replace the netting in case of failure.

Quality is good not great. Let me explain, the roof rack does need to be sealed at the joints with black silocone. Be warned it will rust if you live in a humid and wet environment. Other than that its very sturdy and geta the job done. I also used thread sealant. Might be overkill but better safe that sorry. I read that someone also used bed liner to get better protection and i am considering doing the same. I say if you are undecided in buying this roof rack, do it just follow what everyone is doing to prevent rust.

This was a breeze to put together. All of the equipment was included and even the Allen wrench it seems well built And a great value for what it cost. Just remember, this luggage rack does not come with the cross braces that are needed. Those have to be purchased separately. And also, the bag is smaller than the 64” rack. It looks like it is maybe 48” x 48”. But still well made.

The rack feels like a nice solid build. You can leave the middle section out for a smaller rack. Used it to go camping and had no issues. I like the net it comes with to hold your items, although I still used a couple of straps, just in case. Didn’t used the bag, but it feels sturdy too.
