I'll start with the things I don't like:- The mainboard in the product image is not the same as the one pictured in the specifications (I got them from customer support) and the mainboard I received was a bit different again. The most important parts are the same though!- The CPU is (according to Intels specs) theoretically overclockable but the rest of the machine doesn’t support that.- The machine has no hardware crypto (as stated in the product description)- The CPU is quite old.That’s all the bad stuff. Now to the things I like:- There are rubber feet and rack angles in the box. None of them attached so you can choose to add the feet later.- There are replacement screws in the box :)- There are SATA cables in the box, even when purchasing the msata drive- The machine is securely packaged- The BIOS config has that scrolling gradient at the top- The performance is according to specs- The fans are not loud compared to other rack equipment- The case is solid and not bent in any wayI have yet to perform port to port benchmarks but the system is running nicely so far and I’m pretty happy with it.As stated above I have contacted customer support to get the mainboard specifications. The customer support was really nice and helpful and was able to answer all my questions.UPDATE: A few hours after I finished this review, the internal SSD died. What a coincidence.

I returned the item only because the CPU was not fast enough to support the deployment model I needed. That hardware worked well outside of that and the customer service rep that I worked with on the return make the process very easy. I simply selected the wrong hardware for the job and needed to return it.I am looking at some other products from them for the deployment. I was attempting to use this for a home sophos firewall deployment. I feel like the single core speed simply wasn't enough to support all the features turned on for a home deployment with sub 40 M internet. The UI was incredibly slow and often became unresponsive. When checking the passmark score on the CPU I found that the CPU was probably not up to the task.Ultimately my mistake - A+ for them working with me on the return.One thing to be aware of is that the SATA drive shows up as sda and the nvme shows up as sdb. With sophos you cannot swap the drives so I could not use the sata drive for reporting because I could not change the primary and secondary. This is more of a sophos issue and not being able to change the install destination.The hardware felt solid as well. I specifically looked for intel NICs and I liked that as well.Overall I would recommend - just make sure you check the CPU specs to make sure it meets your needs.
