hello, does this come with a cap? My previous washing lines have had a black tube with cap that can go into the hole when not in use

There is no cap when you remove line, put a round wooden plug into tube to stop dirt getting in. Brush handle..

I cannot get the slider on the pole up past the black clip so won't stay up. Any suggestions?

I had that problem but discovered a bit of the outside of washing line wasn't in the right position so when I righted it it has been fine ever since. Good luck

Height from outside line to ground

I don’t know the exact height but it’s not great, I returned mine as it’s quite flimsy I wouldn’t say it’s heavy duty.not great. I had to duck to get under and I’m 5’4 .
