Review: Only woks in a non home base interconnected environment - Doesn't work with home base network connected alarms. I have 8 smoke alarms, 1 co2, 1 combination smoke/Co2 and a heat alarm connected to a home base. As the house is big I tried to use the remote on a different floor than where the home base is situated. I followed the instructions and paired it with one of my smoke detectors, then tried testing it and realized that it only communicates with that detector I paired it with, and that detector was no longer connected with the home base network. So conclusion if you have a home base environment this remote is useless. This is only usable in a non home base interconnected setup.

**Q: What’s the adhesive tape used for that’s included?**
A: The type of tape is only known to the manufacture. It only has plain white paper on both sides of it. It holds very well to a clean surface.

**Q: Can you have more then one of these on a system?**
A: Yes you can. We have two, they both work with our six alarms.

**Q: Will the x sense remote control work with all x sense detectors?**
A: No. Only certain models are pairable with the remote button. Be sure to confirm with the manufacturer’s website for compatibility.

**Q: Is this compatible with any X-sense wired detectors? We want to hardwire a smoke detectors on a high ceiling and use the remote to test/silence it.**
A: All I can say is that the remote worked just fine with the battery smoke detectors. Did not have a hard-wired unit.

This brand has really impressed me and the development of this remote was a very bright idea. Gone are the days of grabbing a broom or towel to silence false alarms. I easily connected six devices with this remote. My favorite feature is the ability to silence all but the one sensor that triggered the alarm. Size of the remote is small however, it does come with double sided tape to permanently attach to a wall. I placed mine in the kitchen since that typically is the source of any false alarms I may have. The remote feels like a good quality product and it does take replaceable coin batteries. I expect the battery will last quite a long time. You will not be disappointed if you buy this product.
