I had another All Clad serving spoon but I didn’t have one with the ability to strain liquids. So I bought this and rounded out my set. Like other large spoons of its kind it doubles as both the cooking spoon and a serving spoon for me. It cleans up nicely in the dishwasher. It’s truly strong and does not bend easily nor would I ever try. If you can compare it to cheaper options this is probably the primary difference. I guess the other thing about all clad is the finish on. It is extremely shiny and polished. The handle is especially long and just grips nicely in the hand because it’s thicker where the hand grips. They just make solid products at All-Clad and you end up with something that becomes a favorite kitchen item for life.

Excellent product and good price

Just a very nice, solid spoon. I expect it will last decades - seems indestructible, feels good in the hand. I am tired of utensils that only last a couple years, this one will be cheaper in the long run. A good, useful slotted spoon. I have the matching regular spoon too, and it is similar.

You know, to be honest I didn't think this was a very nice looking utensil but after I received it my pre-disposition was changed. It's very useful and I like the way it looks now. It's easy to clean and it functions very very well. I'm happy with the purchase I would spend the money again if this went missing.

I bought this spoon to upgrade from those plastic (Melamie stuff) spoons. I've got a mixed All-Clad pot set so I thought this spoon would fit in. And because Henckels only has this spoon Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Cuisine Serving Spoon and not a slotted spoon, (I wonder why?) my options were more limited. I wanted a spoon without out anything bolted, riveted, glued to the handle as eventually, it always breaks and falls off, plastic, wood, rubber, doesn't seem to matter, 15 years and it's toast.) Since I've gotten the spoon and used it for a couple of meals I can say that I wish the bowl was a tad deeper. With the slots/holes yes the water does drain out, but I end up having to scoop less stuff per stroke with this spoon. As for the handle, feels nice, not the best, but not bad. Not quite as nice as the handles on the pots though. So I guess my complaint is that for the money it could have been better. But I am keeping it. It will probably last my lifetime, I mean really, it can't rust, it's not going to bend or break under the load of wet peas, and unless my kids raid my kitchen when they move out for utensils I don't see how I could possibly ruin it.
