Good Mystery
I essentially knew "the end" of the story because of how popular Jekyll and Hyde is in media particularly for the upcoming spooky season, but I didn't know the story in this fashion. It's a good mystery with twists I didn't know, and I now know I mixed up Jekyll and Hyde for years. This is such a good narrative on the duality of the human soul and how doing "bad/evil" can warp you and your perceptions. A really good commentary on the multiple personalities we see in ourselves and maybe even others.

A literary jewell! Loved it!
I heard an amazing sermon by Tim Keller in which he used this book as a reference, so of course I had to read for myself. I knew the story but the book was much more than the narrative. I love period pieces; the setting, cultural mores & the style of writing. Just an overall enjoyable and thought provoking read. Not anything like the snippets of the old movies. I found it to be a nice surprise!

Straightforward enough.
Probably your safest bet to buy the physical book online. The book itself is probalby as straightforward as you can get, no drama with binding, margins, spacing, font nor size of the letters unlike some other books you can get here. The story itself is a clasic so makes no sense to review it, though it was shorter than I thought, you might want to look into that, too lazy to do it myself.

Hyde and Seek
Most good books are substantive in style and character development. For a classic, written around 1860, this book seems to still retain its popular appeal. Often required reading for students, this novel is kept fresh in our imagination by years of reprints and movie versions which attest to its ongoing popularity. The mystery behind this Jekyll and Hyde novel lies in Jekyll’s motivation to experiment with mind altering drugs. His tenacity and curiosity eventually result in the emergence of an alter ego that Dr. Jekyll called Mr.Hyde. The overarching motive beyond mere curiosity, seems to have been pure ambition. The idea behind this drive was a repressed passion to be free. Without a conscience and basically undetectable, Hyde dominates the stage with his brutish and nefarious cruelties. Depicted as evil incarnate, Jekyll recoils from what he realizes is a primitive aspect of his own identity. Perhaps the underlying message of this novel is, “Be careful what you wish for!”Future generations will discover their own reasons for reading this book. Loving the “classics” was reason enough for me.

Excellent language. Good to know the real story. I understand it now. I did not realise how short a story it was.

Very nice
Great story. The book is quite short but very intense. I loved the end, it was unexpected! It's always nice to read a classic, it's no wonder we still read it so long after it was written.
