Works
It’s weird reading the bad reviews here because this worked amazingly for me. A new plant brought an infestation of fungus gnats to my apt patio. Nothing was working and they were getting in my house every time I opened the balcony door and flying around my face. I thought maybe we had one or two stuck in the house because that’s all I noticed. Omg, I plugged it in right on the inside of the patio door and in ONE night there was like at least 30 gnats stuck to this thing. I don’t know if that many gnats were in my apt and I didn’t notice? Somehow? Or if since it was next to patio door they snuck in once they saw the light overnight but I just know it works really well for fungus gnats. I did not have fruit flies so I don’t know if it would work for fruit flies. But just in case I threw out my mini pumpkin, and my bananas, and I peeled all the extra layers from the onions and threw the peels out and placed the onions on a new plate and then I made sure every light in the house was off overnight. I placed the plug in next to my plants that are near my apt balcony/patio door. The next day yes there was still gnats on my patio and I’m treating my plants with pesticide in order to get rid of the rest. But let me tell you the light really attracts them and works because I have sticky traps in all my plants outside and I have maybe one or two gnats on those traps, but on the wall plug in there’s like a million now. They said to change it after two weeks but honestly I think I have to change it soon, it’s been about 1 and a half weeks. The outdoor population of gnats is also slowly going away either due to the pesticides, or the weather cooling off or maybe half of them came inside and got stuck to this plug in it not sure. Either way it seems gimmicky and stupid but it works really well. Now if you have fruit flies what worked for me last time is those little apple looking traps from the brand that starts with T.

Just as good as the more expensive versions
I put one of these in my living room, and one in my office. I have house plants which attract a lot of flying insects. I also live on a huge green space which brings in a lot of creepy crawlies. After 30 days the sticky cards were completely full of fruit flies, flies, and other creepy crawlies. I bought these on sale... Which made it even better. After installing these I have seen zero flying insects. Before I would see random fruit flies here and there. Couldn't recommend more!

Good Results
Not the fastest device, but it definitely gets the job done—as long as you remember to plug it in. It’s far better than having some liquid mixture sitting out on the countertop. You may still have that one stubborn gnat show up when you sit down to eat, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by its overnight catches. I keep ours plugged in in the kitchen. Simple to set up and easy to use.

Excellent product worked perfectly
It’s work amazing to catch fruit flies and mosquitoes Hi I bought three of them. The light little bit strong at night but it’s made from LED. It doesn’t take electricity at all and I have a feeling its black light but anyhow it’s strong enough to get flies. It’s working in the kitchen and the bedroom. They are amazing. I’m so happy with my purchase.

READ my review....
**Use this Plug-In Fly Trap in conjunction with BIO-CLEAN (see my photos, sold by another seller) and you will have 90% to 100% success in eliminating drain flies... and your sanity will return! I purchased the Plug-In Fly Trap for a small bathroom where I have been battling drain flies for 5+ years! I am using it in conjunction with the BIO-CLEAN product.** READ BELOW.... When I tell you I have used 5+ OTC products PLUS several do it yourself remedies and concoctions for drain flies, none of which worked well, not exaggerating. I even clean out the tub trap and use a small snake-like tool to remove anything in the drain thinking that could be a breeder issue. Initially I treated all drains for the flies, even the washer drain, until I figured out the exact problem area. No water source area was not treated. I even bought a tiny little scrub brush on a snake that goes down into the drain lines. Still had drain flies. Finally.... using duct tape, taped down over the drains, that is how I finally figured out where the problem area was, where they were flying out of getting stuck on the tape. Now that I knew where.....over the past 5+ years I have poured huge pots of boiling water down the tub/shower drain, repeating daily for a few days. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have used vinegar mixed with baking soda, repeating daily for days. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have poured a cup of bleach (the thick no-splash gel kind) at a time down the drains, waiting a few hours then rinsing with hot water. Did this for several days in a row. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have used powerful drain cleaners/chemicals for clogged drains, even though my drain works at 100%. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have spent A LOT OF MONEY purchasing various liquid pre-mixed drain cleaners ADVERTISED FOR DRAIN FLIES here on Amazon. Sometimes treating 2 weeks at a time, daily, sometimes twice daily. Helped, but still seeing multiples daily. FINALLY I HEARD ABOUT THIS PRODUCT - BIO CLEAN. RUN and get yourself some, quickly, if you have drain flies! THIS is the only drain fly product that really works, however not 100%. Use it overnight for about 2 weeks straight. Do not use water for about 8 hrs in that drain. After you get rid of them, or most, use 1x a week as maintenance. Most days I see a fly when I turn the water on, flying out of the drain, or on the shower wall or even in the toilet. Sometimes in other areas of the condo, like at my computer screen. Not 1-2 dozen a day anymore, just 1 or 2 a day most days, and not the larger ones, usually the smaller gnat-like flies. I am convinced I will never be totally rid of them, even with all I am doing, and using BIO-CLEAN weekly. There is something way down in that drain pipe that is the culprit. NOW.... since I plugged this light in the bathroom a week ago, it is catching most of those stragglers (see photo). If you have drain flies you must clean out the enzymes in all your drains with a enzyme cleaning product, do it time to time (weekly if needed, or monthly as a preventative) as routine maintenance, especially the problem drains. Enzymes is what drain flies feed on. *I gave the Plug-In Fly Trap 2 stars for "value for money".... $17.97 is very costly for this product and refills are a bit expensive. Now that I know there are plug-in products with a UV LED light fro this problem, I will shop around.

This thing REALLY works!
I have have pesky gnats or tiny flies in my house. I do not have fruit or food out but I did repot an indoor house plant. About a year ago I had tiny flies too. I put this unit out and during the first 8 days caught 25 flying things! Yikes. I replaced the sticky insert two days ago and have found very few flying pests. This product seems to work and I am VERY happy with the results that can be seen on the adhesive insert. I bought a refill package so I am ready and this product seems to work! I only have one plug in unit but it really works. I live in the desert (SoCal) so perhaps the climate makes a difference. One of the best products I have ever purchased! Really! It works! For me in Palm Springs it is great.

Works well until the 1.5yr mark.
This plug-in worked fine for about a year and a half, and now one of the lightbulbs stopped working so only half of the trap lights up. Which means only half of the sticky trap gets bugs on it and I’m essentially wasting half a trap now. It’s just one of those annoying things where you buy a product that’s made cheap and it is only useful for a short time and then you just have to repurchase. It feels wasteful and unnecessary. I won’t be buying this brand again.

Not the silver bullet to your fruit fly problems
These are ok - I guess depending on your level of fruit fly issue, they may help, but we had a very bad year and these alone did not do much. With the amount of fruit flies that we had, I would have expected to see many more bugs on these, but after a week, I had only a couple and we had vinegar traps that were "full". We did keep this up and move it to a couple of spots to see if we had better luck, but still not a lot of results. They are easy to put together and are a bit smaller than the other popular brand of plug-in sticky traps. The adhesive was enough to trap and kill bugs, but the overall effectiveness was limited. It is not the silver bullet but might be good for when things are under control to get the stragglers.

Works well
Works really well In 1 week I caught a lot of bugs. Seems easier than putting sticky traps in all of my plants. I think it would work best in an area where it is dark at night

Well made and also works as well.
I was disappointed at first as for the first day I saw only two fruit bugs caught. But the day after I saw many bugs stock on the pad.
