**Q: do you need to take your case off to charge ? and does this work in s8**
A: I just received the a Gear4 - D3O Piccadilly Case for my Samsung Galaxy S8+ I bought on Amazon. The case is awesome! Unfortunately the charger will not charge with the case on. The LED lights up on the phone as if it is charging. The light around the charger pad blinks on and off but doesn't charge the phone. It did the same thing with my boyfriends charging pad. I love the case so I'm actually going to return the charger and just use the cord it originally came with!

A: Thank you for your interst. Yes it is compatible with the GS7.

**Q: Anyone know if there are any differences, in terms of function, between this newer samsung wireless fast charger over the older version?**
A: I am not sure where some have gotten their information but the older version will fast wirelessly charge a Samsung S8. I know because I have the older version and it fast charges my S8. The difference between this one and the old one is this one can be a flat pad or a stand and it has three charging coils versus two for bigger phones. However it is correct that you need the appropriate fast charging wall plug and cord for any of them to work correctly.

A: mine does not shut off. it continues to charge and the led stays on
