Love that no tools are required. Screws are butterfly twist and turn to tighten. Fan is very quiet. Medium and high speeds are not as quiet but definitely not disturbing. I love the sleep mode as the display goes dark after 30 seconds on low and medium speed. My only issue with this fan is there is no way to turn off the display at night if you are not using the fan. Therefore, the temp remains visible in bright when the fan is off. I have placed a small towel over the display and turned it away from my bed, which helps.As other uses mentioned, my Samsung phone and Samsung TV remote occasionally change the fan setting. Sooooo weird LOL !!! Whenever you change a setting, the fan emits a beep. My phone and remote occasionally cause it to beep, less occasionally a setting will change. Note that the beeps or setting changes do not occur each time I use my phone or remote.Overall, I love my new fan.

It’s very tall, but that helps keep the air moving over items near the floor; on LOW speed the air was ruffling some papers 20 feet away. My remote came with a dead battery so can’t comment on that, but I do like the option of having one to control at a distance. There are 3 fan speeds (as usual) Lo/Med/Hi, and 3 types of wind delivery options: one that varies the fan speed to Lo/Med/Hi mimicking the wind through the trees, another mode for Sleep which maintains the chosen fan speed and blacks out the (very bright) digital display, and the last mode is well, regular mode…just whatever L/M/H speed you chose🫤There’s a 12hr sleep timer, which turn off the fan at the end of the set amount. Warning: it is NOT the quietest fan, but has that white noise I need to sleep…and the lowest speed is equal to the FASTEST speed on my old tower fan! This thing moves air fast!

For the last few years, I have had nothing but good things to say about Tower Fans. They don't take up as much space as normal fans, and can help cool and circulate the air in a room quite easily.I got this fan because my old tower fan finally broke down after nearly 2 years of nonstop use, my room heats up every evening during the spring, summer, and fall with my window facing to the West...This one is a little taller than my old fan, and instead of going down to the floor nearly 4 inches from the floor, this B+D fan start a good foot and some change in inches from the ground, and blows area from the, I would assume, 2.5ft-3ft exit.The noise is quite minimal, although you can still hear it on any speed.It's got an-up-to 12 hour timer on it, or you can just do what I do, and keep it on 24/7. It's got three different modes to go with it's three different speeds. Normal, sporadic breeze(where it slows and speeds up every couple of seconds), and Sleep, which... I've not been able to tell the difference between Normal and Sleep...?The Remote they sent me is... worthless. Even if I had a screwdriver to take out the TINY little itty bitty screw... if there IS a battery in there, then either the battery is upside down, or just plain doesn't work. Might as well toss the darn thing, unless you want to hang this tower fan upside down from the ceiling.Overall, the controls are easy to learn and understand, although you might forget which button is which each time you try to use it blindly, without looking at it.If you ask me "Do you regret buying it?" I would have to say "No." The price is decent for a Name Brand, and is even comparable in price to Chinese brands of SMALLER tower fans!!!!Also, the only time B+D has ever made me hate them, is dealing with their management and staff directly, having worked in one of their warehouses during a project... Their products are normally quite decent.

I really like this fan. It’s a little noisy. But it does circulate the air nicely throughout the room. You don’t need to use the high setting. There is no remote control as advertised in the description. But that’s OK. I still like the fan and would recommend it.

Does circulate the air but may require higher motor/fan setting to achieve a reasonable cooling effect. Compared to a pair I bought from Cascade, the fan is definitely weaker.Design:1. Base of the tower is wide and firm.2. Diffuser (air slots) direction is not true. It's off by 10-20 degrees. You have to rotate the fan more beyond the eyeballed position to direct the air where you need it.3. Noise level is acceptable (fan's 2nd setting).4. Has a bulky remote. With the remote in its prefabricated location, the hand slot built as a handle gets blocked and one's fingers won't slide in.5. Electric usage is good to normal (no large current draw to cause dimming, blinking, etc., of rooms lights on the same circuit).

I really love the various features of this fan, from the sleep settings to the 'burst' settings & rotations. The LED is super bright so the sleep feature is definitely helpful for keeping the bedroom darker at night. It puts out a great amount of air flow and (in my opinion) is very quiet compared to similar makes and models available. I always have to have a fan when I sleep and this one is even better than many of the Vornado's and more expensive brands I've purchased in the past. It comes with a remote that you can comfortably use to fine tune the settings whilst laying in bed. Definitely recommend :)
