Like a glove!
Very impressed at this price point for a riding shoe. I'm a new rider and was looking for a moderately priced shoe. I would have just worn my hi top vans but after talking with the local shop I was "woke" to the idea of better foot protection. This shop only had $170+ boots or racing style footwear which didn't match my style of riding (cbr500r). I looked around and saw a lot of boots but was more interested in a sportier look. This shoe had what I needed, form and function. Receiving this shoe, I immediately noticed that the box it came in seemed pretty light. I almost began to think I got ripped off and there was nothing in there, haha. The Sektor has enough protection in the areas that are important while keeping it flexible enough to wear all day off the bike. The pictures make it look very narrow but my flat foot matted well to the flat arch. I wear Nike and Adidas in a size 9.5 and these fit me perfect. I don't like too much gap between my toe and the toe box, just enough to wiggle the piggies from time to time. This shoe allows me to do that no problem. One thing I never really though about was grip. These shoes have very nice siping (small lines typically found in tires to improve overall grip in wet or snow). The rubber is sticky yet tough.Overall, I am glad I got these. Sure I could try one some more but this is exactly what I personally had in my for a sport oriented riding shoe.

Overall decent shoe - order a size up!
First, I have to concur with people who say, buy one whole size up, especially if your feet are a little wider than normal.Second, I took off a star because I ordered the “standard” riding shoes and received the “vented” riding shoes - but I decided to keep them. The venting does allow a small amount of air in, but not a ton (I ride a Kawasaki Concours, which may make a difference because of the large fairing)!Comfort - they are decently comfortable, but do not compare to a good sneaker; maybe a dress shoe, but flat since the riding shoe does not have a raised heel! I have not used the Sektor for any significant walking, like wearing all day during work, but they are comfortable enough for an all day, 8 to 12 hour, ride; and while walking around during breaks/stops during that time. If you find you have the room, I think an insole would work nicely to add some extra comfort (I went up one full size, but still do not have the room for an insole).Wear and tear (general use) - I have only had the Sektors for about 6 - 8 weeks, so I cannot speak to how long they will last, but I ride almost every weekend and have had zero problems yet. They slide on and off really easy and lace up easily as well. But cleaning the road grime off them is a little tougher. Even though it doesn’t appear so, the bottom of the shoes gives very good traction on and off the foot pegs. And they give good “feedback” for shifting and braking.Overall, I like the Alpinstar Sektor riding shoes. But think the cost is a little higher than it should be. If I get a few years out of them with no issues, the cost will be less of a concern, but I worry about the sewn in fabric eyelets they use for the laces; they generally don’t hold up as well to a lot of use as regular lace eyelets do.EDIT 6/26/2021: after a little over a year of use and about 6000 miles, these riding shoes are holding up excellent - no issues whatsoever. I will reiterate that, if your feet are even remotely a little wide, go up one full size, otherwise a half size up MIGHT be okay. I definitely would NOT buy what would be considered a “normal” size! I bought a 14 - I normally wear a 13 in everything else - and these Alpinestar shoes still feel tighter than my 13 shoes/boots/sneakers! And, as of this point, I have not really noticed any “stretching” of the shoe, so if they fit very tight, I would not expect them to stretch out very much (maybe a shoe stretcher would work, but they don’t really stretch from being worn in my experience)! Excellent riding shoe, and other than the minor tightness, a comfortable shoe.

As advertised
Ordered this boot after my initial starter Bilt boot. Wanted something that offered protection and not feel so bulky. This boot fits like your average shoe size in the US. I wear these boots every time I ride now and they are comfortable even while walking around and doing other things. No need to fill like you need to break them in because they feel like a comfortable pair of shoes good buy. I sure i will purchase these again when I need a new pair.

Alpinestar shoes
Great motorcycle shoes from a great company. True to size and very comfortable. If you are debating on the purchase just go ahead and do it. You won’t be disappointed.
