I have been making knives for about 2 years now and have tried several different brands of belts. I have been able to grind bevels on 3 to 4 knives between belt changes instead of just one using competitors belts. This has been a money saver as well as time.

Previous bands broke easily. These last through tough jobs. Very good purchase for me.

I purchased these belts to go on a sander I recently bought at a yard sale. They work great. The finer grit belts I use for sharpening knives. They work great for that. The coarser grit belts work great for axes and lawnmower blades. Concerning longevity, after sharpening approximately 20 knives, the 600 grit and the 1000 grit are showing no signs of wear. The leather strip that came in the kit is broken in nicely and brings a mirror finish to an edge. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my purchase as far as what I got and what I paid for it.

I've only tried the finest two belts, and with very light use. But they seem to be holding up as expected. Makes it very easy to grind a consistent bevel on tools without generating too much heat.

I make my own knives. I start with 80 grit belts and finish it with these. Works great.

Bought to sharpen forestry tools. Performs well. Beats expectations.

Went through three belts on one knife blade BEFORE I'd even heat treated. Guess I'll stick to zirc belts in future.
