Fantastic at keeping dust away
These are amazing. I have two on full speed 24/7. Only use about 14p of electricity each per day. I have been had them for a week and they have totally cleared dust from my lounge/dining room. I used to have to dust constantly ! They say they are for rooms up to approximately 20 metres square and do 5x air changes per hour. They are fairly noisy on the highest speed setting but whisper quiet on the lowest. I don’t mind a little noise if it means I don’t have dust everywhere.

Works as expected, but missing Apple functionality.
I’ve had a BlueAir purifier (Blue 3210) in my bedroom for a couple of years. It served its purpose, but after seeing the new DustMagnet, and a recent scare with dust mites (I caught them early and I think they’re gone now), I saw it suitable to upgrade to a more powerful model. The DustMagnet is advertised to deter dust mites, and specifically to attract dust, essentially as if via magnetic force, and isolate it before it can settle. After my recent incident (which taught me a lot of lessons about keeping my space clutter-free & easier to vacuum), I couldn’t pass up having a “dust magnet” assist me in keeping my space clean to a high standard. The setup process is very easy and the unit isn’t heavy so I feel anybody could do it themselves. I believe it can work without being connected to a smartphone. Just screw in the legs, power it on and you’re good to go. Very soon after setting up and powering on my new DustMagnet I could feel myself breathing in fresh, pure air. During the recent incident I threw away a lot of clutter, but with what’s left, it’s neat that this device also doubles as a stylish little table that I can put one or two things on. Changing the filters is very easy too - a lot easier than my previous model! The app features will be good enough for many, with Google and Alexa functionality. There’s a feature that turns it off when you’re away from home, then on again 15 minutes before you arrive home (so the air is completely filtered when you arrive). You can also control each individual fan mode/speed from the app. I like how you can even change the LED brightness of all the lights on the machine, mine’s set to 25% which is about the lower limit for comfortably being able to see in daylight. Here’s where it lacks: I use Apple HomeKit, which now uses Matter (universal smart home technology that works between Apple, Alexa, Google etc). This air purifier is NOT compatible with Apple HomeKit or Siri Shortcuts! I’d love to be able add my DustMagnet to my existing smart home automations, having it work how I want automatically alongside my lights, fan, etc. Even if HomeKit functionality is a no-go, just some Apple Shortcuts functionality would enable me to run automations, ask Siri to change fan modes etc. This way, I could also have it it automatically change to and from sleep mode when my bedtime starts and ends, which is always varying. An Apple Watch app would also be very neat, but I can definitely live without it. All in all, this is a great device, works very well and looks smart. A worthy upgrade from my previous model. I could only afford it though during the Prime Day deal, bringing it down to £249. If it catered for Apple it would get 5 stars.

Cool air upgrade
Really good at pulling dirt and rubbish out of air and works well as a fan

Older technologies and not future proof.
I ordered this filter as well as one from Philips to compare before buying. I decided to return this one for a couple of reasons. Firstly when reading the booklet it stated that technical support would be withdrawn next year meaning that any further updates on the software would stop. On further investigation it seams that there is no guarantee that genuine filter replacements will be easily available. I guess that this filter must have been out for a good few years already if this is the case. These reasons made it hard for me to justify the premium price. I went for the similar priced Philips filter in the end.
