Bite Not Pet Collar The BiteNot Collars are an excellent alternative to the traditional Elizabethan collar. It provides unimpeded peripheral vision and allows them to eat, drink, sleep and play while protecting back, rump, base of tail, flanks, chest, abdomen, and genitals (even feet in small breeds). These collars are not recommended for protecting eyes or ears. These collars are made of flexible plastic and foam and are machine washable helping you easily keep it clean. They are the only cervical restraint with a harness strap and that means these collars stay on. When choosing size, remember that the collar must stretch from behind the animal's ear to the top of its shoulder for maximum protection. Features: ? Provides unimpeded peripheral vision ? Better than a cone!
Works better than a cone! Your animal cannot get to their "parts" & they can still function as a living being. This does not freak them out like a cone & they can still eat and drink like normal instead of fighting a cone to get their face in their bowl.

Not what I needed
Cat wouldn't eat or drink or move until we took it off. She could also still scratch.

I ordered 2 , because my cat scratches and chews so much that she goes through collars quickly. So far, it holds up and I haven't needed the second collar, maybe just when im cleaning the first one.

BiteNOt for cats
This collar did not work for our cat. He has a tail injury and he was still able to get to it. The injury is close to the body on the outer side of tail and on side.

Very trim, not in animal's way! Works far better than a cone, my 2 Goldens don't mind it a bit!!!
Love this collar, have used it for years with our Goldens, they tolerate it well, don't try to get it off! They comfortably sleep in it and it seems pretty non-restrictive. They hated the cone, our vet recommenced it.

Doesn't work for a longer, flexible cat.
Even with this collar (installed by my vet), my cat was able to chew on his rear legs and his "bottom." He's 9.5 pounds, so we tried the 2.5" collar and 3.0" collar. The longer one was a decent length for his neck, but he's very flexible. I've had to return to using an E-collar.
