After a cleaning the rollers would be red from the accumulated rug fibers it had dislodged. On the same carpet, our new Hoover picked up a LOT of dirt the previous cleaner missed, and there were NO red carpet fibers in its brushes. A thorough cleaning of our living room carpet we thought we were going to have to throw out was dramatic. The matted areas where there was a lot of traffic returned to their luxurious depth. VSee my review of this carpet cleaner in the Comments section below for a photo of our colorful carpet restored to its former beauty. Good luck! β€” Johntechwriter β€” [I have no connection with Hoover and have not been compensated in any way for my review.] **Q: I’m chiefly wanting a machine to thoroughly clean the carpet on my stairs. Don’t see many mentions of this. Is the tank big enough?** A: I really love this machine. It cleans really well. I like it because you can adjust the thickness of the area you will be cleaning. Great product **Q: How heavy is this shampooer?** A: It's not that heavy but it's hard to push and pull. **Q: Does this have an attachment for shampooing steps?** A: It has an attachment for upholstery which would work for stairs. Not sure how long the hose is, though so it might require lifting the machine up the stairs. ## Frequently Bought Together - Hoover Powerscrub XL Pet Carpet Cleaner Machine, Upright Shampooer, FH68050, Black - Hoover Pet Carpet Cleaner Solution, 64 oz., Tropical Breeze Scent, Deep Cleaning Carpet Shampoo Solution, Eliminates Urine Stains and Odors, Pair with Hoover Carpet Cleaner Machine - Hoover Everyday Solution, Deep Cleaning Carpet Shampoo, 64 oz Formula, AH30924, Package May Vary --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/413709456-hoover-powerscrub-xl-pet-carpet-cleaner-machine-upright-shampooer-fh68050](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/413709456-hoover-powerscrub-xl-pet-carpet-cleaner-machine-upright-shampooer-fh68050) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
