Gloria Vanderbilt Women's Amanda Classic High Rise Tapered Jean Plus Size

I LOVE these GV Amanda jeans. I tried the first in 18W, as I like a very comfortable fit, but they really stretched, a lot within an hour of wearing, so I bought another in 16W. I am so happy I took the chance for the smaller size as I could barely keep the 18W up by the end of the day, even with a belt. The Amanda jeans are high quality fabric and sewing, and very soft, stretchy and forgiving as they mold to your body and loosen through the day. (I sit a lot on my job so I need sitting comfort and standing movement while yet neat looking). They actually are more amply cut in the thigh and calf than most who call themselves "relaxed" fit (though I could use even a bit more room as I prefer mine very loose...but then it looks baggy standing). My hour glass has shifted with sand towards the middle as I am now a matronly grandma, but these jeans look nice and trim on me. For those who like reference, I am 5ft 6in, 195-200, with measurements 44/39/44. They are even long enough for my long legs. What's the best news, I bought 3 more 16W in several colors (Frisco and Calisto), and the consistency of sizing and sewing was EXCELLENT unlike so many manufacturers where a size can vary greatly between clothing samples. ALL FOUR arrived and fit perfectly the same out of the packaging. Highly recommend to any mature woman who wants a trim looking jean that offers movement and comfort too.

I have purchased these jeans in department stores for many years but they have gotten very expensive. When I saw these at such a great price I purchased 2 pair, a week apart because I wanted to make sure they fit.The first pair was the black and exactly like the blacks I have purchased in Belk, Kohl’s and Penny’s, they run a little smaller but since I have lost 42 pounds over the last 7 months I was ok if they were smaller so I would have something for when I get down to a smaller size. To my surprise, the black pair actually wasn’t that much smaller than my other 16W that I had purchased fromBelk and at Kohl’s in December, once I lose 5 more pounds they will fit great in the waist.I decided to order another pair, this time in Portland Wash, a darker blue, these fit wonderfully. I will say I did order a 16W short and these are average but since I can sew, it won’t be a big deal to cut it down and sew it to be the correct length.I just wish I could get a 14W for when I reach my next goal but I will go into a local store and try on the misses size to see what size I need to order from Amazon. Super fast delivery, even on the last one that indicated I wouldn’t receive it until 1/23-1/31, I actually received it in 3 days.These jeans are perfect for a 72 year old woman to wear, very comfortable and flattering.

I'm going to get to the points all are looking for easily.- Fits perfectly 20 = 2X 100%- Material is somewhat soft & seems a little bit weak in it's weave as there is a run directly in the front of the leg and rubbed completely through in another pair of these in under 2 years (no other jeans ever have done this so quickly)- Not jean material- a beautiful near neutral color - very light tone- Great for 70 degrees and under.- Don't have to hem length for short legs.- Manufacturing ought to know quality control let these slip through with a run in them. Not returning, too much of a hassle and stand to get another pair with a similar issue.- I would still recommend these.

The fit is perfect. Nice jeans, wear well and look nice. I have been buying GV Amanda jeans for several years and they are still great quality for a good price. zippers are metal, sturdy and well sewn. Material is thicker with some stretch, so they last. Highly recommend.

I had a really low expectations for these jeans given their price point, but I could not have been more thrilled. They’re comfortable, fit well, don’t shrink excessively in the dryer and look pretty good. I’ve re-purchased multiple times in the multiple sizes and have not been disappointed yet.

This is NOT a tapered fit jean. I'm 5'6 and 195lb. I should have just returned it but I washed it hoping it would shrink...so. I bought my usual size, 16W and they were huge. A size down were sold out. I sew, so I ended up taking them in two inches on each side (1 inch in the waist) and an inch in the crotch. I now have a pair of jeans I can wear, in 95% cotton, but it was an hour of sewing to get there.

I found a pair of these jeans in a consignment store and fell in love with them!! They fit well, the stretch was just enough to retain shape and remain very comfortable. They are a good sturdy weight. Material awesome! I love these more than any other jeans I’ve ever wore! I’m 61!

I think these jeans are great. There's a little stretch in the waist. I wasn't expecting that and like it a lot. My size is d normally a 20 plus. I have had numerous times where it is too tight, so I went up one size. I ordered the 22 plus. It actually was a little to big but not horrible. I decided to keep it and ordted a 20 plus just now. Can't wait til tomorrow to see how that one fits. So if you weigh around 220 and height of 5'4" a 20 plus would work for you.Definitely true to size
