Good Quality
I use olive oil frequently and I really like this one. I love the taste. The only downside is the spout. It's good for drizzling, but not great when I need 1/3 cup or more. I had no problem removing/replacing the spout from the 1st bottle i bought. But the spout on the second bottle just wouldn't come out. Even with pliers.

high quality
This is my favorite olive oil for dressing and dipping that is widely available. Has more flavor - fruity, nutty and floral, than others I've commonly found. Mix 1 part of this olive oil with 2 parts raw apple cider vinegar for an easy and delicious salad dressing, or add some fresh cracked pepper to the oil for a great french bread dip.

I have only tried a few olive oils but I like this one
I am no expert on olive oils having tried only 3 or 4 what would be considered high end extra virgin olive oils, but I use this one often for finishing and sometimes sauteing if I am not using too high a temperature that would hit the smoke point for this olive oil. I tried this olive oil based on other professional and personal reviews and I was not disappointed. If you don't have a greater knowledge of olive oils than I do you may want to give this one a try. If the oil you purchased isn't very fresh I would return it, you will not get the full experience of this oil. From Monini's website: SPECIFIC QUESTIONS FOR THE MONINI LABELS This section offers an interesting opportunity to find out more on extra virgin olive oil and the Monini world, through a summary of the most frequent questions coming from our consumers. How can you read the production lot number on the back label? INTERPRETATION OF LOT. NUMBERS: The Monini lot numbers can be read as follows: eg.: L00MA L = abbreviation of Lot OO = Number in two digits which identifies the day of the month of packaging which goes from 1 to 31 M = The letter which represents the month of packaging according to the following table. A = The letter which represents the year of packaging according to the following table. MONTH A January B February C March D April E May F June G July Y August L September M October N November P December YEAR X 2008 H 2009 K 2010 R 2011 S 2012 T 2013 U 2014 V 2015 W 2016 Z 2017 X 2018 H 2019 K 2020 R 2021 S 2022 T 2023 U 2024 V 2025 W 2026 Z 2027 X 2028 H 2029 Then, there are some numbers corresponding to the hour and minute of bottling. If the expiry date on the label is approaching, can I use the product? Three quality parameters can be directly checked by consumers: Yes! Consider that if our product is close to the expiry date, it must have been bottled almost 12 months ago and most likely its sensorial characteristics will have weakened. For a person used to a strong flavour, oil with an approaching expiry date might taste slightly sweet and mellow.

Beats most of the grocery store oils
I'd been buying "Extra Virgin Olive Oil, cold-pressed", sticking to Italian oils, and believing that was the best I could buy. Then I read about most olive oils being blends from all over and not the quality represented. So I decided I should find a higher quality without the slightly bitter aftertaste. I gambled on Monini, which is a LOT more expensive than I'd been buying and hope it wouldn't disappoint me. I did notice a big difference in the flavor and enjoyed it more, especially in salads, where the taste is most obvious. I would find it difficult to go back to the less expensive oil now, even when I know I should be saving my pennies. This is very good olive oil.

Originally recommended to me by a manager at Williams Sonoma Simply the best...31 times in ROW
Originally recommended to me by a manager at Williams Sonoma...i havent looked back. For two years I belonged to an italian olive oil club...one bottle per month...ok but once i used this it is the GREENEST MOST OLIVE tasting EVOO that i know exists. Im a bachelor...dont use Herculean amounts so price is not of consideration...though they do produce $160 DOP bottles..that slow me down. I'm a really good cook and ive used this for over 20 years and dont even bother with the others unless i run out temporarily....its head and shoulders above the 'Originale'.....buon appetito! i have bought it 27 times...you just can be unspoiled....imagine the best quality and it tastes like olives!!!!

Intensely flavourful
Great aroma and flavour just as promised. The pop up pourer makes everything 20 times better. I just recieved 1 l bottle instead of the 500 ml which was out of stock and the expiration is not even a year from today :\
