Cool features, two features I'd change
I wanted an inexpensive waterproof watch that would track my sleeping, oxygen levels, and show when I get texts or phone calls. This watch checks off all of my requirements and the app is pretty user-friendly as well. It does monitor stress level, but that seems like an arbitrary number (it measures it every 10 or so minutes). Overall, I'm happy with this watch, but there are a couple of things I don't like about it. Either it doesn't have the ability or I haven't figured it out yet. I would much rather it automatically read my O2 levels every 10 minutes instead of the stress levels - that information is more helpful for me and I don't believe the stress level reading is accurate. I have to click the side button, scroll to the O2 option and click it every time to read the O2. I also receive a lot of group messages, which I have silenced on my phone, but they still vibrate and go through on my watch (which can drive you crazy if you receive 30 group texts back-to back like I do sometimes). I wish there was a way to silence some messages on the watch, but I don't see that as an option. It does have good options on which app is allowed to notify you, but if you're wanting to receive texts, you're going to get all of them - even the frequent group texts that you've silenced on your phone (I have not tried turning off the notifications on the group texts entirely yet, because I do want them to light up my phone, but if they get too out of hand, I will definitely be trying that). It does have Do Not Disturb time settings, but the watch face still lights up when you move your arm in your sleep, which I would prefer to make it so you had to double tap the screen or use the side button to light it up during that timeframe. Overall, this watch has cool features, like your respiratory quality as you sleep, plans to help develop sleep habits, and weight management.

Great value with an excellent fitness tracking function
I placed this $49 watch in my wish list and the next day I had a 20% off coupon waiting for it. So I said, โwhat the heck it looks worth more than $39.โ What a pleasant surprise itโs been. My son has an Apple Watch and I was interested in mainly the fitness tracking function but I was unwilling to spend the $799 he did for something I may not like and use. This SKG watch basically has all the fitness functions the Apple Watch has and tracking is maintained by this watch and your cell phone app. This watch has been great so far. You can choose what skin (or cover page design) you want and for me it tracks treadmill time, distance, and step count. Also, time doing weights. It has many other pre-programmed activity tracking options. All the while exercising it keeps a running heart rate (beats per minute) and has blood oxygen on demand. It also tracks and analyzes your sleep cycle. It can set alarms and has a stopwatch function. It also ties into my phone to run my Apple music app, receive text messages, weather, and has a โfind your phoneโ function. I recharge the watch every day while I shower and with my workout tracking and wearing it all day it hasnโt gone below 91% battery so my guess it could go for a few days without recharging. Truly a good buy in my opinion.

Second purchase
I bought the pink version about two years ago and it has lasted and still works like a champ but I wanted one in black. The black model has a few kinks as it has woken me up twice now to tell me my bpm was too high (193 to be exact). As alarming as that would indeed be, I definitely was not having a heart attack and took my own pulse which was 68. The data it collects is correct but it often adds 100 bpm to the reading which would not be great if you had an actual heart condition you were wanting to monitor. Neither device stays synced uo to my phone long and I rarely am notified for texts and NEVER receive a notification about calls. This also means you cannot use the "track my phone" without syncing it right before, which defeats the purpose. Basically its a digital watch and pedometer, which is all I really needed, but if you are looking for a full service smartwatch this is not the one. I can absolutely verify that it is waterproof, I swim with mine on every weekend.

Save Your Money! Do Not Buy This Watch
Even though it nay be cheaper than others, save your money. So I originally bought this watch last year. I actually loved it at first. I was able to set goals, track my sleep, track my workouts, and anything else I would expect from a fitness watch. The app was glitchy sometimes but the benefits outweighed that. The watch had a superb battery life as well. My favorite part was the running program and it really helped me get back on track with my cardio. Then the watch stopped working, It would just show a wrench on the screen. I was devastated. Fast forward to recently, I decided to buy another watch. Although the last one stopped working I thought the overall experience was better than the defect, I am extremely disappointed. Disappointed is actually an understatement. It's not the watch this time but the APP software the watch uses (veryfit). It seems they have updated the app for the worse. The layout is different so I can't "close rings" but I bypassed that as it's more of a personal preference. My main issue is the sleep tracker, weight tracker, and run training program do not work! That section of the app will not load. This is terrible. I hate to base the quality of the watch on the app but they go hand in hand. If the watch works great but the app is trash, then the watch is useless. Find new developers and make this right.

App is useless
I had to manually sync the app to my watch twice a day, otherwise notifications didn't work. The app recently started crashing after opening and despite trying every recommendation online (cache, data, etc.), the app still crashes. Love the watch, but it's useless other than telling time because of the app.

Two weeks review
I have used this SKG Smart Watch for almost two weeks now. I am actually quite happy with it. I almost bought an Apple watch, but then after thinking about it, I decided I didn't want yet another tether to my work. Since I mostly bought the watch to track my speed-walking (bad knees from a failed Tennis career), and I walk between 30 minutes to 60 minutes a day, I figured the planet will survive without me for that amount of time. That said, it does alert me of text messages and calls, but they are easy to ignore. The battery, so far, is a champ. I charged it twice so far and it was still at 75% each time and I wear it all day and night. The app is not very sophisticated and the watch itself is a bit... first generation? I guess that's a good description. No apps to install, no fancy screens, but everything I need when I need it. For instance, outside of exercising, I use it to time my cooking. If I set a timer, I can't exit to check what time it is. I am not sure what would happen if I exited the "walk" program while I am walking, but I don't care either way. Once again, it does what I need it to do. The app tracks me via GPS, the watch counts my steps, tells me my page, my mileage, so what if it's a bit limited. For $40 (or so) it does everything I need it to do. If it craps out in 6 months, I'll buy another one. If it lasts more than a year, I'll consider it a success. More than that would be icing on the cake. My only complaint is that it would be nice if I could change the wristband. Maybe I can, I haven't checked. I wish I could mount a leather band instead of the rubber one, but other than that I am very happy with it.

Great watch for runners.
Itโs lightweight and comfortable. The functions are easy to navigate thankfully because the instructions are very difficult to read in light-blue ink on white paper. The HR is actually pretty accurate. Definitely in the ballpark +/- 5 beats on average. The SpO2 is accurate as well compared to a decent finger probe sensor. The โstressโ measurement I donโt use. Instructions donโt say how itโs measured. Maybe a combination of HR and temperature of the skin? Battery life is great so far. The backlight turns off after 4 seconds when not used. The alarm is a light vibration to the wrist. I feel it should be much stronger as I like to use this to wake up. It has worked with me but not every time. I like how you can put you own pictures in the background and itโs easy to do so. As a step count it seems fairly accurate. The sleep function is probably in the ballpark as well. Obviously itโs not 100% as it doesnโt come with an EEG cap ๐. It doesnโt have a blood pressure function and if it did I would not rely on a sensor/light for taking one. The counters/stopwatch are also easy to use. You can set it up for notifications but they are generally annoying so I donโt use that function. Overall Iโm happy with it and am very glad I didnโt spend hundreds of dollars on my first smart watch.

**UPDATED** Great, But Won't Update
Update (Dec 2023): I contacted customer service and they gave me all of the basic troubleshooting tips to try to fix the problem. As an IT, I'd already tried all of it before contacting them. Their last suggestion was to switch the app to a different phone. I was using the app on my new Motorola and didn't think it'd work with my lesser known Blu phone. But, I switched the app to my Blu anyway and was pleasantly surprised when it worked. Everything easily updates. I intended for it to be a temporary switch if it worked, but I never switched it back. As a traveler, there's one thing I must note. To add to this watch's awesomeness, you don't lose your steps when you switch to a new time zone. I went 8 hours back and waited until after 12 AM in the current time zone, to switch the time zone on my watch. With all previous watches (other brands), I'd lose all steps on the current date. For example, if I had 2000 steps when I updated the watch to the current time zone, I'd lose those 2000 steps. With this watch, I did not lose. When I got back to my regular time zone and changed the watch back to the normal time (8 hours ahead of where I'd been), I didn't lose my steps then either. Now I know I don't have to wait until 12 AM / midnight to update the time zone on my watch, I can just update it when it's convenient for me. Original (Oct 2023): This is a great watch with a bunch of useful features and I love using it. But, it won't update. I can't update the watch face (even after paying for one) and I can't update the system per the latest update being available. I need another watch face because the current one doesn't show the date. None of the others that are pre downloaded show the time, day, and date. If I could get this thing to update, it'd get 5 stars.

Serves the purpose perfectly
I wanted something simple to use and that had the indicators most relevant to me and I got what I wanted for the right price. My only drawback is that it doesn't connect to the Weight Watcher app the way my Fitbit used to. In order for it to connect, I had to link it to Google Fit which in turn connects to Weight Watcher's app. If that isn't a requirement for you then you are good to go. So far so good. Fingers crossed it has a long life.
