Very cool tool
A couple of years ago, the freezer in the garage was left open after kids got into it. about 100 pounds of meat spoiled. A few months ago the same thing happened - this time when the door was left slightly open. Another 50-ish pounds lost. That's not happening again.Installation is easy. The sensor has a built in battery - just pull a tab. There's a little mount with double sided sticky tape for the temp probe, so mounting it is straightforward, too.You don't need to install an app, but you probably should so an alarm will go off on your phone if the temp gets outside of what you say is OK while you are away from home. The display, which is bright, easy to use beeps when alarming, and is loud enough that most of the first floor hears it but for some reason nobody upstairs could. I don't know exactly how long it was from the time I warmed up the sensor until the alarm started beeping, but I'd guess it was around 5 minutes. The probe has a thin wire that you shut the door on and connects to the sensor. The sensor and the display connect to wifi and can connect to the internet for you to get information on your phone like alerts and even a graph of how temperatures have changed.I know this thing says that it's good for a huge range of temperatures, but all I've used it for so far is in the freezer which runs about 7 degrees F. It does come with 2 probes/sensors. Maybe I'll put the other in the kitchen fridge.

Accurate, with remote monitoring and data storage
My new refrigerator isn't cold enough but the manufacturer is fighting to do repair. This creates data that I can send to them to justify warranty repair. This is part time home so being able to monitor refrigerator and freezer temps remotely is fabulous. I've had freezer failure in the past without this and it made a stinky and hard to clean up mess. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who leaves food for extended periods while on vacation.Company was great to deal with when I had small set up issue although it was easy to set up and the app works great. The temperature accuracy was checked with 2 different thermometers left in the refrigerator.

Great solution
My son is the Chef & Owner of Z Bistro in Carson City, NV. A small French restaurant. He really has been wanting a remote monitoring system to monitor his freezers/refridgerators and after doing a lot of research we landed on your LCD+ Hub system with five sensors all purchased thru Amazon. We set up the system at Z Bistro and we are soooo impressed! I need to add that alongside helping manage my son's restaurant ... I have worked at Apple for the past 25 years and lead an App Development Consulting Engineering team. We help companies build apps and solutions for Apple platforms. I was incredibly impressed with not only the physical engineering of your products from a hardware perspective but, your app on the App Store is well designed, responsive and just an overall well designed app. The setup was seamless, monitoring/alerts very responsive and just an overall great experience. I know firsthand how much focus and effort it takes to build HW/SW solutions that surprise and delight customers and you accomplished both, hands down!

Works well
Needs to come with more adhesive pad to keep sensors from moving around in freezer. Works well, has already warned us when the temperature got to high. Instructions could use improvement. For example setting up alarms wasn't addressed.

Exceeded expectations
The UI on the hub is excellent and more than I expected. It shows weather which is beautifully rendered. The UI on the app (its a new app from previous models) is excellent. The setup of the hub and sensor is mostly without issue. There are a few minor confusing parts but if you carefully read the UI you should be able to figure it out. I think it took about 30 minutes to set up four sensors and the hub. I have these sensors on two refrigerator/freezers and they work perfectly.

Great System
I have several freezers that contain the wild game meat that I harvest each year and I wanted to be able to monitor their operation in real time so I purchased this system to try. Extremely happy with my purchase. Very easy to install and works amazingly well. The APP that you download onto your phone provides a seamless, instantaneous link with the individual sensors and it provides you with all the information you need at the touch of a screen. The sensors continuously monitor the internal temp of the freezer and instantly detect any variance in the temps and immediately report to you via email and text message that the temperature has changed. You set the upper and lower limit for temperature based on your needs so you can custom tune the system to meet your needs. You can add more sensors if you wish, which I did, and doing this was very easy. This system even lets you add water sensors which I did in several locations in my basement (near water heater, oil burner, laundry room) and just like the temperature sensors the water sensors were very easy to add to the system and they work great. This system gives me great "peace of mind" when it comes to my freezers and the safety of my wild game meat as well as being able to constantly monitor any water leaks that might arise in my basement. This is really a great system. Get one, you won't be sorry.
