Impressive quality and ingenious design of a small matte box integrating remote control of a rotating variable ND filter. Some observations: the two AA-sized batteries (for the controller and the motor) aren't the usual NiMH kind but higher voltage types that need the included single charger (pity it's not a double charger), the motor battery can't be turned off so will drain if left in place (crazy), and the controller interferes with the poorly shielded Rode VideoMic Pro cable if the controller if mounted near the camera's 1/8" input. Nice smooth exposure adjustment is possible.

This is an excellent versatile lightweight matte box, ideal for small lenses. The clamp/on mechanism works brilliantly, being quick and secure. The only issues I’ve found with this are: Can’t use the support with extending lenses. Even when the rail mount is unlocked there’s just too much friction. The matte box is so light though, unless you’re using an old worn lens and it’s creeping from the weight with a glass filter installed, I don’t find the support necessary. Screw on filters are a huge pain. The adapter rings have the filter sitting so deep behind a lip that it’s almost impossible to get a grip on them. If you stack filters, trying to unscrew one will always unscrew both. Trying to unscrew both will always unscrew the wrong one. Rotating filters can’t be used effectively, partly because you can’t reach the rotating bit, but also because you can’t tighten them enough. Trying to turn the rotating element has a 50% chance of unintentionally unscrewing the filter. Smashing. Filter slot is extremely tight. It’s almost impossible to install without getting your greasy hands all over the glass. It’s even more difficult to remove. I’m not worried about it slipping out though, so if you’re not changing out filters and just want to leave UV/IR in there it’s great.

Alles bestens gerne wieder, habe es als B-Ware gekauft und dabei wurde seitens Amazon vorsorglich zwei neue Batterien hinzugefügt. Leider waren diese die falschen. Tilta hat mir dann neue hinzugefügt. Alles funktioniert wie es soll. Danke

Great and very light matte box! If you are going to buy it, also buy a 4x5.65 UV or protection filter because if you use wide angle lens with circular filters in front you'll get vignetting in your shots. Without circular filters there's no vignetting. I have a Canon 10-18 and works great without vignettin until 12 mm.
