Love, love this series!
Alice Winters is a fantastic author. Her writing is so snappy, funny and I don’t know how she comes up with all of Leland’s antics. These books are so engaging. Every book is creative and the dialogue has me laughing out loud. You must listen to this series. He does such a wonderful job with Leland, which makes the book even funnier.

I don't think I will ever tire of this series!
4.5*There are a few authors I read who I hope will donate their bodies to science after they pass, so that their brains can be studied. Helena Hunting, TJ Klune, and Alice Winters are the top three I want dissected. Although I'll probably be long gone by the time that happens, it needs to be done for the greater good. I cannot be the only one who wonders what the heck goes through their minds, how they come up with the crazy, wacky, zany things they do.The Hitman's Guide to Righting Wrongs While Causing Mayhem is another fantabulous addition to The Hitman's Guide series by Alice Winters. As usual I found myself laughing out loud multiple times thanks to the situations Ms. Winters puts these characters in. Not to mention the feels! Anytime Leland's past, and even Cassel's, is brought up she always hits me right in the feels.Leland and Jackson once again find themselves caught up in something that is definitely more convoluted than it first appears. And that's where the fun begins! So.Much.Fun. It really wouldn't be a Hitman's book without this group finding themselves in the most ridiculous situations, Leland-made or otherwise. I love that no matter what he asks of them, they all just go with it- although not without some grumbling along the way of course. I really love how much Jackson, Henry, Cassel, and even Jeremy, love Leland. After everything he's gone through in life he deserves everything! The mystery of the missing daughter had me curious and a bit confused up until the end. There were a few times I wasn't sure exactly what was happening, but honestly, this book was so freaking fun I didn't mind that I got a little lost. Spending time with this found family is one of my favorite things, no matter if they're solving crimes, finding the lost, or driving each other crazy- bring it on.

just okay
4 stars because I still love Leland, Jackson, and the rest of their crazy crew. But “just okay” because I didn’t care about anyone involved in the mystery. Once again, the story was a bit convoluted with lots of moving parts The better stories in this series revolve more heavily around the characters’ pasts. They’re less interesting otherwise.

Still absolutely amazing and hilarious
Rarely do I laugh as hard reading a book as I do reading The Hitman’s Guides. I knew I was in trouble from the very first chapter. 🤣 The further adventures of Leland and his long suffering husband Jackson as they get dragged kicking and screaming into a case. And we can’t forget Henry, Cassell, and Jeremy. ( I think Cassell and Leland must be blood related somehow. Heaven help Jere-Bear.) Alice Winters is the mistress of creating these hilarious characters while still managing to write a semi-serious mystery that keeps you on the edge of your seat. If you haven’t read any of the rest of these books, you really need to. The only thing spoilery is the relationship between all of the characters. They are definitely worth reading if you enjoy a good laugh.

Is there anything Leland can’t do? At times I have to wonder how far he can go—and just how loudly Henry will scream while being dragged along—but then I think: shhh, let’s just drink our cappuccinos and enjoy the ride. “This man one hundred percent knows what he’s doing and is one hundred percent aware that I will let him get away with it because I love him. And that’s what you do for the one you love.” If Leland’s shenanigans—oh the places they all go, especially Jackson, with the shenanigans but hey at least there’re confusingly delicious cookies—are any indication, then without a doubt, Leland is THE most loved person in the universe, nay all the multiverses combined. He’s a lucky man and I’m envious there’s only one Jackson. I love, love, love that man. He deserves some type of award, without Leland’s input or involvement, for the many and weirdly romantic ways he shows his love. I don’t know how—and again no questions just gonna enjoy some extra whipped cream on my cappuccino—but my love for this odd and strangely effective but always amazing family keeps growing. I loved it all so much. It’s one delightfully suspenseful and wickedly fun adventure.

Just Perfect!
This book was GLORIOUS!!! I absolutely loved every single word. I will never, ever get tired of reading about Leland, Jackson, and their cast of friends and family. This is book 4 and it still feels as fresh and new as when I first started this journey years ago with book 1. The antics, the mystery, the banter, the love, the laughs, everything was just perfection. Leland is one of the best characters ever written in my opinion and watching his growth from book 1 until now has been such a treat. He's gone from a hitman who had no ties, loved no one, and killed for sport and money to a man that fiercely protects those he loves with every fiber of his being. This book went beyond my expectations, delivering on all fronts. I laughed out loud often, I was trying to piece together the mystery, I was misty eyed as Leland showed his love, I was swoony during the tender moments between him and Jackson...it just felt like coming home again. I cannot wait to revisit this again when the audio is released!

Fabulous
Love, love this series and can’t get enough of Leland and Jackson. The minor characters (and I don’t like calling them that as to me they could hold their own in a story) are just fantastic! Brilliant fun 🤩 xx

Leland and Jackson “oh so funny”
What can you say that has not been said about Leland and Jackson, just perfect, sweet, funny, gorgeous and brilliant. The story was very interesting and kept you guessing the whole way through it.I loved that all the characters were all involved and that you could be read a book and be so engrossed that the day passes by while you smile and laugh throughout the day. Feels good.

More Leland Please
I'd hoped for more Leland and this delivered, though he's a little more subdued than usual. Marriage and being settled with a found family does that to a guy. I love that for him though. You absolutely have to have read books 1 through 3 and also Cassel's book, A Former Assassin's Guide. Otherwise a lot won't make sense.Lots of plot twists, shenanigans (though not as crazy), and a side of steam makes this an excellent read. I was thoroughly entertained but I love Leland, so that was easy!I absolutely love Henry and how he gets roped, or ropes himself, into adventures and he's along for the ride here
