Epson EcoTank L8180 Multifunction A3+ InkTank Photo Printer

After a lot of research and contemplating the mid rating on Amazon, I decided to go for it. Initial impressions matched with the ratings but after researching some more and learning the basics of inkjet printing I realised that most of the bad reviews on this are from people treating a 6 colour photo printer like a basic plug n play home office printer. If you are hitting print without configuring custom ICC profiles, adjusting ink density, or matching your exact media type, your prints will look awful. Sad to see that user error has poor reviews on the printer, the printer in itself is a great printer with lab quality photo ink. Once you set up your profiles and calibrate it, it runs exactly as it should. The dedicated photo black and gray handle gradients cleanly. It also pushes heavy GSM cardstock fine, provided you actually use the rear feed and don't force it through the bottom tray. Bottom line: it’s a solid piece of hardware for a design studio. If you are willing to set up your systems properly, it's a workhorse. If you just want to print standard documents without thinking about settings, get something else.

This Printer is definitely not worth 45 thousand. It has lot of pain points: 1. Not able to print word or doc files. You have to upload it somewhere and change to pdf to take print. 2. After printing one page, you have to go to app, manually close that window and then only can print again. 3. Frequent paper jamming inside. 4. A3 Printing is such an issue that you need to hire an engineer to understand the mechanics and settings. Otherwise, it is always printing half cut documents. 5. It will not give you mental peace. Buy it if you want. 6. A number of connectivity issues. 7. Paper tray can not be pulled back mechanically. If there is no electricity, it will keep protruding out. This printer should cost maximum 8 thousand rupees. Lots of issues.

Gives an excellent print quality, but the price of the ink is excessively high. Think before you buy due to the high ink price.

Build quality and features are top-tier, making it a reliable choice for creative and professional use. However, the ongoing cost of ink is relatively high and should be considered before purchase. Overall, it is an excellent printer for those prioritizing quality, but running costs may not suit every budget.

This printer is a must buy if you need A3 color printing. It’s multifunctional and works seamlessly. I can operate it directly from my phone and laptop without any wires. The printing experience is awesome and genuine. Ink is easily available both at their store and online, so there’s no hassle. Print quality is premium and definitely worth it.

Printer stopped working after 1 month. Epson support team denied replacing the printer and said they will replace the part instead. Took them 7 days to replace the part. After the part was replaced, the printer stopped printing altogether. It is just printing blank paper. The support guy said to replace the maintenance box, worth Rs 2000. Even that did not help. Now the ticket is closed, and I have a printer that prints blank paper. This is a hard NO. Do not buy. Pathetic after sales support.

I have been using the Printer for the past 9 months. So far the printer works fine.. print quality is exceptionally fine especially for Photos.. prints like studio quality.. i am very much happy as it can scan Legal paper... thanks to the Epson team for such a nice Gadgets..

This product is providing wonderful results beyond expectations. Will recommend this product and the service is great !
