Book Stand Cookbook Holder Book Rest Reading Stands Tablet Holders: The Tool to Enjoy Reading in a Healthy Posture

I was looking for a self contained stand for my iPad and for large text book type teachers guides. Because we frequently travel and home school, portability and size were huge factors in my decision. I was originally looking for a music stand that folded down, but quickly changed my mind when I realized the kind of music stand I was looking at was quite flimsy and expensive for what you get. Once I came across this stand, I realized it would do everything I needed it to and more than I expected, for a third of the money. I take it with me wherever I go, especially if I know I will be using my IPad during a business meeting or teaching classes for adults, or schooling my children on the road. It has been handy in each of those circumstances. Features that I like about this stand include: Its simple, beautiful, stable and strong enough to hold large text books. The position or angle is adjustable. The stand even grips and holds pages open securely - I have tested this feature on bumpy car rides and windy days spent schooling near a runway in the dessert. Even though my kids are periodically working in two different lessons, this stand still works great! I use one adjustable arm to hold my place in one lesson, while I use the other arm to hold my place in the other lesson. Very convenient. It also sits easily on various surfaces, no precarious little feet or legs. I often set it across the top of our binder cart, but it also works well on the dinning table, or on a TV tray next to me when table space is at a premium. I've even sat it in a seat beside me so that the kids cannot peek at the answers in my teachers guide. I also use my stand to prop up my small whiteboards during school and the board I tape my watercolor paper to for painting. I have actually thought about purchasing additional stands to keep in different places. What else can I say? It does everything I need it to quite beautifully, and I expect it to last a good long while. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Works great as a book stand capable of supporting large text books with clips (with rubber tips to protect the pages) which work well to keep the book open to the right page. The environmentally friendly bamboo is a beautiful and lightweight. The only complain I have, and one that seems common among all book stand, is that while the stand height/angle is adjustable, I wish it would support books at a lower angle (one more setting would be nice. This is the only complain I have, and it is nothing more than I minor nuisance. Overall, the book stand is fantastic. I am a grad student and use it to keep large text books open to specific pages while doing research. I highly recommend this product. While it is more expensive than other book stands, it is of superior quality, made in the USA, and made of environmentally-friendly bamboo.

This is a very nice book stand. It is sturdy, yet light and portable. I love the subtle smell of bamboo, and all the adjustments available. It holds my largest nursing book, but just barely; does what I wanted. That is, it keeps me from straining my neck looking down at a text. The clip on lamp I purchased fits perfectly as well. The bag with the quote by Stephen King was a nice gift.My mom saw mine, and ordered one for herself. My only (minor) gripe is the page holders are really tight when using them on thicker texts. I took a screwdriver and ever so slightly loosened the screws; problem solved.Highly recommend.

Love it! If you're looking for a book stand, look no further. This one is made from bamboo (renewable resource) and is well-designed. It is of a good size and height for a variety of book sizes, has multiple angle adjustments and the prongs that hold the book flat are sturdy. My son (elementary school age) would read by looking down, with his face parallel to the table! This concerned me greatly. As soon as the book stand arrived he set up his book and actually likes using the stand. The stand is packaged in a nice box, with a storage bag and bookmark, making it a good gift for those who love to read. I will probably order a few as gifts for birthdays and Christmas.

I absolutely love this book stand! In fact, I ordered it twice! It’s main distinguishing charactic is its’ size. It is larger by about 1/4 than the average book stand. As a professor and a writer, I need many things in view. Having 2 of these large book stands is very helpful. I am considering ordering a 3rd!

Beautiful product. Packaged very nicely. Sent with a cute carrying bag and Eiffel Tower metal bookmark. Sturdy design with feet that prevent it from moving on surfaces and numerous slots to adjust your book to the right angle for you. The metal feet that help keep the book open rests in an inlay carved into the front lip of the stand, keeping them securely in place. Metal book feet have protected ends so as to not damage books. Attention to detail is fantastic.Disclaimer: I originally purchased this product for my huge college textbooks, and the screws could not withstand the weight of the book. If you want a book stand for your large, heavy textbooks, look elsewhere! For all other books (thin textbooks and other everyday reading material), I would highly recommend this one.

I love how sturdy this bookstand is, how beautiful it looks, and that the product comes with its own bag and a bookmark. I like that it's made of wood and not plastic. The only complaint I have is the arms. They are bendy, which makes them barely useful enough for my gigantic nursing school books, but require some struggle. You won't be able to get a gigantic book completely under the arms, but you can kind of get the tip of the arm to hold down the current page at least. I am able to stick the bookholder in my backpack when it's folded up and it seems very sturdy. I have used several times now and it is still working very well. If they made the design where the base sticks out more or can be adjusted to do so, then the arms could be more useful and this would become the ultimate bookstand.
