Thank you.** A: Bad news: The ingredients as listed on the back of the jar- will upload a photo(Ingredients listed first are in the highest concentrations- it is mostly sugar followed by calcium carbonate- Ingredients list: Sucrose(Processed table sugar) Calcium Carbonate(bad because it interferes with the abortion of vitamins and minerals), Vegetable Stearic Acid, Corn Starch, Vegetable Magnesium Stearate, Papaya Flavor, Date Powder, Fructose (Plain fructose is mostly sucrose so it's just another source of sucrose).- It calls them "other ingredients" but they are the largest in terms of content. Federal law allows them to say Sugars <1 gm but what that means in English: less than 1000 mg per 3 tablets(a serving) the tablets are mostly sugar and calcium carbonate- Papain is 45mg per 3 tablets - there is about 1650mg per 3 tablets, hence sugars and Calcium Carbonate are taking up most of the remaining 1600 or so mg. The remaining enzymes and other items are in much smaller quantities: Protease: 6mg - Alpha-Amylase 6mg -Papaya Fruit 3mg - Chlorophyll 3mg (all per 3 tablets). The label does not say the exact amount of Calcium Carbonate but by process of deduction you are getting about a single 750mg tums worth. Calcium carbonate greatly interferes with the absorption of food, vitamins and even calcium itself. It is best to take something like Calcium citrate to supplement calcium,but Calcium carbonate is cheaper and also eases upset stomach which is likely why they add it- so you get the feeling of an improved stomach condition. This product is effectively and anti-acid not a good way to take papaya enzyme to break down food for nutritional absorption, contrary to what this product, "American Health, Chewable Enzyme with Chlorophyll" says on the label it actually works to greatly reduce the absorption of nutrients. The good news is they do contain a good amount of papain in 3 wafer serving size but it is wasted as the food it breaks down will have a harder time being absorbed. **Q: Are they gmo free good for kids with acid reflux, 10 and 7??
