iPhone to HDMI, Kimwood Upgraded 6.5ft Lightning to HDMI Cable with 1080P Resolution for iPhone iPad iPod, Plug and Play(Red)

I purchased the upgraded cable and so far it is working perfectly. I wanted to be able to show my Apple Keynote (or PowerPt) presentations off my iPad onto the new smart TVs. Unfortunately Apple makes it nearly impossible without AppleTV which I didn't want and won't always have available when I travel. Although I can't use the full presentation mode (if I want to see the presentation notes then they will show on the TV, too), still I can mirror my iPad screen on the TV screen, which is much better than nothing.It does require me to bring an extension cord to power my iPad (via the attached lightning cord - see picture) as it's the lack of such little things that create problems when trying to show a presentation where only a TV is available, as is the case in many libraries, schools and offices these days.Thank you for solving this problem better than any other solution I've found so far.

This worked about 90% of the time when I first got it - if I plugged and unplugged, connected and reconnected it it would eventually work. Now, a couple of months later, it doesn't work at all. Which is past the return date so I'm stuck. Guess I can cut it up and use it for shoelaces. I had to go back and order the real thing. Don't believe any guarantee either. That's what I thought, Ohhhh. Guaranteed. I can send it back. TO CHINA!! Spend the extra unless you really don't need it to be reliable.

Edit: After the initial unit I got stopped working after about three uses, the manufacturer saw the two-star rating I posted, wrote to me, and offered a replacement. The replacement seems to be working just fine! Given that the company stood by their product, I changed my rating from two to four stars.*****Original Review Below*****While this item was working, it worked well; screen content (including video and audio) transmitted to the TV with very little noticeable lag. Moreover, it charged my iPad while it was in use, which was an unexpected bonus.That said - as the subject line of this review indicates - this item stopped working after about three uses, making me absolutely unable to recommend it.

I was looking to simplify my ability to present live video footage to my student tennis players while on court. The Apple TV would work, but is more complicated, by far, as well as 4 times more expensive.I plugged the HDMI cable into the TV Monitor, power cable to my USB charger, and iPhone cable into my phone. Turned on the monitor and selected the correct Input Port of the Monitor and bingo!The construction of the unit and cables seemed of high quality, having been an electrical engineer for 35 years.One of my better purchases.

Please read full description before purchasing. I didn't and this thing is useless to me. It only provides audio, doesn't work on Netflix, DirectV...etc... so it is not a true converter. I tired it on 5 TV's... 2 Samsung, 2 Sony and Visio; none worked as indicated....with a picture. My mistake for not reading all of the information, but I would never refer it for purchase.

Did not work for me; it did detect the power cable, and the iphone beeped twice. Waste of time.No tech support number; a look at their web site should tell you more - iphoneHDMI.com.

This brand of cable really holds up well. We’ve put it to the test, taking it on and off for travel between houses. It’s been bent up and shoved in crevices of the cars at one point etc, yet takes the beating with no cracks on cord lining etc. Plugs in with no trouble. No loose connections.
