You can install with basic wrench, no special tool needed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Product *by E***O on December 13, 2025* Excellent product, just like the original. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fits 2017 Sorento 2.4L and Fixed Oil Light Issue *by A***1 on December 18, 2023* I bought this to fix the following issue: oil pressure indicator light when oil is warmed up and engine is at <1500 RPM or idle. If my Sorento had the 3.3L V6, then it would have been covered under the extended (150,000 mile) warranty, but no such luck with my 2.4L V4. I've heard that dealerships will charge >$850 for this repair, so I am very glad I was able to DIY it. It's a pain, but simple process to replace. You do -not- have to take off the intake manifold. There is a bracket with 4 bolts on the underside of the motor just above the oil filter that needs to be moved out of the way. From there, you can disconnect the oil pressure switch from the wiring harness. If there is oil in the wiring harness connection, then the switch was bad and needed replaced. To replace the switch, you need a 23 mm or 15/16" deep socket and a long ratchet or socket extension. There will be a bit of struggle to get everything to fit in a tight space, and you will be working blind for some of it. Replace the old with the new switch, torque to ~15 ft-lbs or just past hand tight. The threads are small and fragile, plus they are tapered (threads will not go all the way in). It took me about 30-45 minutes from start to finish.
