Moen GX75C GX Series 3/4 hp Garbage Disposal

Very noisy !

So far we like this thing. It's installed in a tight location where larger units will not fit. At first we were worried that if we could find one to fit it would be a small and cheaply made unit lacking power and performance. But that does not appear to be the case with this disposal and it packs a 3/4hp motor. Installation was fairly easy, the unit is not excessively loud, although large open sinks without sound dampening material is gonna turn the assembly into a self beating drum. If you do not have sound dampening rubber glued to the underside of your sink, consider that modification. Just some thin self stick neoprene attached to the underside of the sink can provide a huge noise reduction. Note that when looking at the dimensions listed here are for the widest part of the disposal, the front and back are flat to provide even more clearance.

I removed the old disposer. I then unpacked the new disposer and installed it with no problems at all. It does the job in a quick and quiet manner. Highly recommend. I spent the extra money and it is well worth the money.

I am pleased with the quality of the device, and so far it chews up all we put in it. Only negative is that there was no wrench included to use if the machine jams, and the noise it makes certainly let's you know it is working. It is very loud.

Replaced an insinkerator, being able to reuse the mount made for a very easy to install. Great disposal, nothing I've thrown at it has been an issue. As for the noise level, not loud when turned on but it's not the most quiet unit out there when grinding food. It is better than the disposal I replaced and given the hp of this thing, I'm happy with my choice.
