SecureCycleGear helmet, jacket, cable lock, heavy-duty (combo red)

Do not think of this as a bike lock, it's not. It is a great deterrent. it'll stop someone from walking by & picking something up. While the lock looks hi-tech; after using it; I think a hammer hit would break it. I have used this to lock a helmet, jacket & tank bag to the fork tube. It's a visible deterrent that doesn't add a lot of weight or bulk. I like this better than the generic frame mounted helmet locks as I can loop it around more than just a helmet.

Good for securing your gear when you're in a sketchy area or will be away from your bike for a while. It's "pre-coiled" so it's compact enough that it stores easily in your saddle bag, but that coiling makes it a little difficult to work with. The lock mechanism doesn't have very tight tolerances so it seems pretty loose. Don't know how easy it would be to defeat, but it's definitely good enough to deter the casual thief who can't afford to spend time defeating it in public.

This came quickly and was packaged good. It works great and is long enough for my jacket and helmet. The locking mechanism is a lil bit tricky though. You have to hold it "just right" in order for it to lock properly, which can be tricky because of the coil the cord is in. it wants to twist and move. After doing it a couple times, it becomes easier and you learn its quirks. I would recommend this, if you prefer not to have to carry your stuff around (like into an eatery/bar/store).

This little lock works great and is more versatile than I had thought. I can lock a helmet and jacket no problem. I have also taken it on a bicycle ride and was able to lock two bikes (frame and rear tires) to a pole. Not a real heavy duty item, but it will stop your stuff from walking off and I prefer to not have anything heavier when on 2 wheels.

Great Product. The cable build quality is very good. Tough as you can get for this price. The one issue i had is they keys felt flimsy and i broke my keys in a couple of months. I was hesitant to write a bad review just because the keys broke on me, so i contacted SecureCycleGear and they were prompt to respond and mailed me a new key (even if it was past their policy for guarantees!) I really appreciate the customer support. And I thought i should come back and write my experience. Highly recommend the product, and expect quality service. Thanks!

Great design and pretty secure lock. Will deter any casual thief. Pair this with a disc brake alarm lock and your bike + gear will be safe enough. I really like how compact it gets down to. Just slides into a jacket pocket with no problem.Locking and unlocking are easy to do. I like that the key stays locked in place when it is the unlocked position. Lock design deters fast picking. Takes more than a bit of effort.Really great communication with the owner/designer. Nice guy! Very helpful.Good product at a reasonable price.

The product is great. Much better quality than other similar locks on the market. However, the packaging is cheap. It came in a large ziplock bag with a paper insert with a photo of the product on it. I gave this as a gift so I was expecting the packaging to be a little more professional looking. But I guess what truly matters is the quality of the product, so that's why it earns all 5 stars.
