Doorbell Transformer 24V500MA, Visual Doorbell AC Power Adapter, Suitable for Most Versions of Ring Doorbell and Thermostat (8M extension cable white)

Bought this to power my Eufy doorbell and it's worked perfectly. I simply drilled a small hole through the door frame, routed the cable through and plugged it in. Installation was straightforward and the transformer provides a stable power supply. The biggest advantage is not having to remove and recharge the doorbell battery anymore. Once fitted, it's pretty much fit-and-forget, which is exactly what I was looking for. If you're using a Eufy doorbell and want to avoid the faff of regular charging, I'd definitely recommend this.

The unit is good, but I write the following for anyone wanting to hard wire a Ring battery doorbell. This 24v ac 500ma unit could not keep the battery charged when a ring battery door bell is set to highest sensitivity and continuous motion frequency. The problem root cause is Ring themselves. They specify a 24v ac supply for the battery door bell. But do not offer an accessory that i can find yet. They are assuming that such a supply will come from an existing transformer that is commonly used in the USA to power door chimes. Ring outdoor battery cams uses USB 5v 2a. Even with 5v 1.2 a I find those stay charged at highest sensitivity and frequency settings. After buying this unit I then bought a 1000MA 24VAC industrial rail transformer. Even that does not keep the doorbell charged when at the most sensitive settings. And yes I have checked the signal strength it is 52dB. So if anyone wants to hard wire a Ring battery door bell and hope to never change the battery, forget it. Better to buy a wired unit that perversely will run fine with the same power supply that cannot keep the battery version charged...

This does have a buzzing sound like others have said but for me it was ok as this is located in a hallway and not noticeable where it is. If it had to go in a living room or a room you want silence then do not get this as it will simply annoy you.

The item arrived and when plugged in to a mains outlet with power, there is no voltage being sent. The item is faulty and therefore does not work and will not power a doorbell when there is no power being sent to it

works as expected, the cable is very long and suitable for purpose
