This vacuum is so bad I was laughing as it functions too poorly to even be mad (and I will obviously be returning it). I purchased another brand for my mother which was just a little more than this one and hers is great so I thought I would try one. This vacuum, however, is a complete joke.It does not climb onto even the thinnest rugs (gets stuck). It does not work on any carpet or rug. If it runs into an object, like a couch or chair, it does not correct its path and just keeps bumping the object. The remote control does not function properly, at all. Forward and backward made the vacuum move the same direction and you cannot hold down a button to control movement. Pushing a button just makes it move that direction a couple inches. You cannot control it to move across a room to certain spot, for instance. The included hand vac does not have enough suction to pick up anything other than loose dust (which is probably just being moved by the brush).I honestly would not pay $10 for this vacuum. If you live in an empty square room with wood or concrete floors with no rugs and no furniture then this may worth $10. I take that back. If you live in a circular room without corners, this vacuum may work for you. The target market may be converted grain silo renters who cannot afford furniture but can afford a robot vacuum.

Preface: I have owned three robot vacuums in this price range. This one is full of design flaws that will prove to be more than just a minor annoyance -- it will basically not work very much due to 1) the oddly angled feelers getting stuck places they shouldn't; 2) it's too high off the ground to pick up small bits like grains of rice or hole punch chads..ooh maybe that would also indicate a suction problem!! Alas, that want part of my original list; 3) somehow it gets itself stuck on small transitions where no other bot would (e.g., the edge of my stairs, between bedrooms); 4) it won't go close enough to walls to get near the edges and whilst there is a separate function for this, you shouldn't have to switch modes to get a basic clean around the perimeters . To add insult to injury, my bot stopped responding to the remote after less than ONE WEEK, which was the only method of commanding it beyond the main "auto" function. BUT..It actually breaking likely put me out of my misery by forcing me to pull off the bandaid and return it.PROS: 1- it comes with a nifty hand vac with a nice brush for couches however, it lacks suction so it's really more like a fancy couch-brush dressed as a hand vac. 2- it picks up dust very well and works on low carpet so long as you don't have ANYTHING IN THE WAY THAT IT MIGHT GET STUCK ON. 3- it has a cool wet pad feature that I would recommend you get on any robot vacuum you may purchase (just not this one) - it's more about the extra dust and dirt that it grabs than truly acting as a mop.

I honestly didn't expect much. This was my first robotic vacuum. I do have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. Great product.
