Perfect for my Topping D50 DAC
The Topping D50 is a wonderful DAC, but oddly does not ship with a power supply. Audio Science Review's tests indicate the D50 is not fussy and will perform well with almost any .5 A or larger power supply. This Jameco provides more than the necessary current, and because it is linear rather than switching...theoretically lower noise. It works perfectly with my D50...and has the correct plug size so no adapter needed. It is great to find such a high quality power supply at such a reasonable price. I am very pleased.

Cost-efficient good quality linear power supply.
This is the second of these power supplies I have ordered now, after being very pleased with the first purchase. Both supplies are used as replacement power supplies to feed my DACs. One is used to feed a small/cheap 5v Fiio DAC in a home theater setup, and this one is used to feed clean 5v power to my All Boss 1.2 DAC via my Raspberry Pi (dc barrel adapter required). In theory these are quieter than switching power supplies, but I have no method of testing this. They have a good reputation for being quality, cost-efficient, low-noise power supplies. I have had my original 5v supply on 24/7 for months now without any issues. In the future if I need a 5v linear supply with a current requirement of less than 1amp, I will definitely be buying these again.

Quality Regulated Linear PS
Good regulated linear supply! Why choose a big heavy linear instead of a smaller liter switcher? No high frequency ripple and EM radiation to interfere with sensitive circuitry. e.g. Radios, Ethernet Switches, Audio etc.

Works perfectly with Raspberry Pi
I want to confirm that this Linear Regulated power supply works perfectly with DACs and Devices requiring 5V DC like a RPi, but it's even better if used to power the RPi DAC HAT directly. There are several ways to connect it depending on the DAC board. Some of them accept directly the barrel 2.1mm connector, some require USB C and some other require to solder wires directly to the board. In all these cases this power supply provides a clean , noise and ripple free power to the DAC board. This will improve sound quality, lower noise floor and more details in the music. 100% recommended

Perfect and cheap accessory for my iFi phono preamp
This is *exactly* what I wanted to replace the cheap switching power supply that came with my iFi Zen Phono. This is a small fraction of what the same thing would cost from ifi or even higher end brands and works just as well to provide extremely low EMI and ripple to the phono preamp.

Low(er) noise
I bought two of these linear power supplies for two Ethernet switches. The switches were part of a network implementation in my audio system that included fibre optics to reduce induced radio frequency and electromagnetic interference in the signal path. Cheap switching power supplies which are de facto for most Ethernet components, are notoriously noisy, so I wanted to eliminate that as a source of interference after investing in the optical cables and modules. How much did these linear power supplies help? I don’t really know because I haven’t measured them nor the switching supplies that came with the Ethernet switches. What I *do* know is that the sound quality definitely improved - it was immediately evident. So these power supplies couldn’t be doing much, if anything to worsen the result. Would a much better (and MUCH more expensive) power supply improve things more? Probably, yes. But I have other things that need attention first (yes CABLES make a difference!) and I’m happy enough now to not mess with success. These inexpensive power supplies are definitely good value … even if you’re not as picky as me.

Topping E50 Power Supply Upgrade
As the headline says, this works great with a Topping E50 dac and is better than phone chargers I tried before. This is not a massive upgrade by any means but I did notice an audible difference. Everything sounds cleaner and more precise. For around $20, it's worth it.

Large wallmount EI supply
I got this as a power supply for my Topping D50 III DAC, since it did not have one. I was using a phone charger, but wanted to see if this was an improvement. There is a Topping P50 linear power supply for $129, but that is what linear power supplies cost. There is an iFi iPower2 adapter for $79, but that is a switch mode power supply, yet does have circuitry to reduce noise. This Jameco is an older style, large, heavy, budget model that uses an EI core transformer, and will have higher EMI interference. According to their spec sheet, this supply has ripple & noise max 50mVp-p, which was better than the other low cost units like the official supply for the Raspberry Pi 4. In standby mode, my DAC consumes 0.8 watts. But with this supply, that number jumps to 4.0 W. No surprise for this type of (EI) supply. The supply output voltage, no load, was 4.95V ±0.03V; while for the Mean Well GST18U05-P1J and Cincon TRG1505-A-11E it was closer to 5.11V. The barrel connector is 5.5x2.1mm on all, but on the Cincon the connector is a bit longer at 12mm instead of ~10mm. But, does my DAC sound any better? The ESS Sabre chips in the DAC do features THD compensation and jitter reduction, so I could not hear any difference between the Jameco and the other supplies. I kept the Cincon supply, as it has decent ripple specs 50mVp-p, but much lower power consumption and EMI interference than the Jameco; but the barrel connector is a tad bit long at 12mm. A supply with similar specs is the CUI Inc SWI15-5-N. The Mean Well GST18U05-P1J is a quality supply, but since it provides 3A, it is much larger than what I need.
