The price is basically unbeatable, the style is simple and garners compliments from people throughout the day. I previously purchased a light brown/reddish pair of these same shoes in a 10.5, but the toes were super tight, so I ordered these in an 11 and they fit very well. They felt extra comfortable upon first trying them on, and I was excited to wear them to work the next day.What I did not anticipate was the absolute worst calf and ankle pain I've had since running track in high school 16 years ago. The first night, my legs were sore. The second night, I could barely walk. I'm not even exaggerating here. I work in a low-key, small family business retail environment, so it's not like I'm doing anything physical. I'm on my feet all day, but that's about it. I bought some insoles, which turned my $46.00 shoes into $60.00 shoes. They eliminated the ankle pain by raising my ankle up a bit over the stiff tongue, but the calf pain was worse that night. I wanted these to be my go to budget daily work shoes, but I think I'll have to spring for a bit more. But, they do look really good, so there's that.

I ordered these in hopes that the negative reviews in regards to the chemical smell were just a bunch whiny exaggerators.Alas, these shoes’ smell is pungent beyond anything you’ve ever smelled. But still I wanted to give them a chance and since I didn’t really need them right away I let the “air out” for about two weeks. Even after that tho, the smell hardly faded. I wore these to work once and my whole office smelled of airplane fuel for the whole day.That’s when I decided to return them. That’s definitely not normal or acceptable. I don’t know what they douse these in but it’s horrible.Two stars because they were comfortable and looked nice!

After reading many reviews, I had no idea what to expect with these shoes. Fortunately I was pleasantly surprised! These shoes come well packaged. Once I took them out of their individually wrapped sleeves, I got a whiff of the 'chemical' smell some of the other reviewers mentioned. It was not unpleasant at all, but of course that's subjective. I left them in the closet overnight and the smell diminished enough that I could no longer smell them in the morning. I went ahead and took the risk of wearing them for a full workday. Every other pair of shoes I've ordered have come way smaller than what I expect. With these shoes, I ordered 11's and got true 11's. Perfect fit. That's probably why they gave me no trouble the entire day. I've paid five times what these shoes cost and had to 'break' them in - these immediately just fit.I'll be getting more of these in other colors as well. I'll come back and change my rating if these shoes do fall apart in a month or so. At this price, I'm hoping for at least 6-9 months of good use. Have you ever watched Boardwalk Empire? Well, I got the black wingtips, and I must say, I felt like Nucky Thompson today wearing these!Follow up: Well it's been over an entire year now and these shoes are still holding up! I also ended up purchasing the brown and orangish pairs. I still definitely wear the black pair more than any of the others. The inside part of the shoe that your foot rests on is showing some wear finally. I was thinking about taking them to a professional shoe shiner to get them shined but at the price, I may just toss these and buy a brand new pair!

I tried, but I am returning... Can't handle the smell. Smells like spent fuel. My entire closet, my truck, and my office smell so bad even days after sending these back. I read all the reviews and thought maybe they were too critical - but nope.. Great looking shoe, looks like good quality. Just can't handle that dang smell. I tried airing out for a few days and even a day out in the sun, but nothing worked.

Accidentally got 2 pairs and didnt feel like doing a return, so I've been wearing one pair as my every day work shoe for about a month or two through all kinds of weather (hot, rainy (getting soaked), humid). The factory new smell is FRESH in the shoe, wearing them about 3 days either got me used to it or made it wear off. These are pretty comfortable for all day work (my job requires a lot of getting up from behind the desk, kneeling, squatting) and I'd say these shoes have held up so far.I wouldnt depend on them but for these last few months they have been great for everyday wear. Decent for the price. Honestly on the fence about buying another color for everyday use till the wheels fall off.

One of the best dress shoes I've ever had !Ill start with the single con - it has a really strong chemical smell - I knew that even before I got them but I knew that I will know how to handle the issue.What I did was - put them on the edge of my window for a few days, I knew I wasn't going to use them right away so it was airing for a few good days and that got rid of the smell.So - the pros are they look amazing, they are very well made, look exactly as described and most importantly - I got a BIG compliment for the toughest ice-cold guy in the wedding I attended (check the picture for the shoes and suit).Needless to say - I AM VERY PLEASED!

I was apprehensive about ordering these shoes, at such a low price. I wasn't expecting much in terms of quality and durability.I've worn them about two times now. They seem comfortable enough. The Quality of the Faux Leather is way better in the pictures shown than in person. They almost have a plastic appearance to them in person (Which will show plenty of creases/wrinkles after the first use). The texture of the interior makes it hard for my foot to slip in properly... i really have to work to get my foot in there.All in all, i was going to return the shoes as soon as i saw them out of the box. but at this point, i'm too lazy to send them back and pay return shipping.

I have brought two pairs of these for school shoes for my son so please take in to consideration that they have been well worn and have held up for a good few months .The souls did end up falling away from the shoe itself which is why I had to replace the first pair which he had for about 3 months !!They are lovely looking shoes and look much more expensive and come in a beautiful box with a bag to put the shoes in too which was nice but wasted on a 15 year old ,The second pair we ordered came up tight over the bridge of his feet and have also given blisters when breaking in I had also ordered half a size bigger so couldn’t understand why this pair were so tight compared to the last pair !The souls do hold up but unfortunately come away from the shoe itself after so long but they had been used for a lot of walking and football playing so if they were used for office wear or occasional wear I should imagine they would last a lot longer.We did buy a glue to reattach the souls to the shoes with the first pair as the souls were still going strong which only lasted a few more weeks .They clean up lovely and I would recommend and as I have said I have brought again but I will probably not get another pair only due to the tightness with the second pair but my son found them really comfortable so all in all not bad at all a good pair of shoes

Unfortunately whilst they look great these are a really narrow fit. If you have slightly wider feet then I suggest these are not for you. I had forgotten how hard it is breaking in a new hard leather pair of shoes and these are no exception. The backs are really hard so be prepared for blisters on ankles unless you use lots of plasters. However I am persevering with them and will break them in. Many companies now have their shoes made in China (where these are made) and they often come up slightly small. Had a pair of DM boots just the same. However once broken in I was happy as Larry with them. The DM's that is. Jury still out on these shoes though. This is an honest appraisal.

These shoes are quite narrow fitting for large feet, but when worn in a little bit are quite comfortable. They must spray the shoes with something at the factory in the finishing probably , but it leaves an aweful aroma which is very hard to get rid of . Thats the big downside with these, as its very overpowering when you open the box first, and for a long time afterwards.

I've worn these a few times and they are quite comfortable, they don't seem to cause any rubbing, there's no pinching or bending in the wrong place.They're also good looking shoes, with a slightly casual edge.They seem well made, so I'm hoping they last a while.I will update if there are any issues.

They fit fine and sizes are accurate and look good. The issue I have had is that they arrived yesterday, I wore today to work and the pictures show how the nice colour and design has already worn off. This is after walking to the car, then into the office. If I had walked miles on concrete or footpath or if I had an abnormal walk then I could understand the soles being worn fast but not just being today and what I have actually walked. Really nice shoe and design and I would happily have again providing the sole is better.
