This is a good cheaper alternative to a pre-made Barbie Dreamhouse. It’s a good size and contains lots of nice details.Hours of fun for my nieces.

Clever idea but doesn’t compare to the plastic ones
Really clever how it’s all cardboard and it was easy to fit together and sturdy but it just doesn’t compare to the proper Barbie toys. Personally I’d pay the £40 to get the Barbie travel beach house. The cardboard furniture was odd looking too as only used straight lines and right angles.

Heavy and sturdy
The set comes with all the pieces you need to build your own dream house, and I had so much fun putting it together. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow, and I was able to assemble the house in no time. The reusable stickers add a fun element to the toy, as you can design it however you like. I especially love the fact that the pieces can be taken apart easily, so you can create a new design whenever you feel like it.The quality of the pieces is also very good. The plastic is sturdy and does not bend easily. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the pieces fit together securely. All in all, this is a fantastic toy that encourages children to be creative and use their imagination.

Economical alternative to the large plastic Barbie houses
I love this cardboard Barbie house. It was loads of fun assembling it, although it took me around 1.5 hours and my thumbs were sore from pushing the 'locking tabs' into place. The cardboard panels are quite thick and sturdy, and come wrapped in paper and you need to pop out all the pieces, including the slots and holes. I was careless on a couple of pieces and tore the coloured paper, although it doesn't show too much. One of the floor sections also had a large crease in the middle, but I was able to use this as the ceiling so that it wouldn't be on display. I ruined one of the locking tabs when I struggled to slot it into place, but I ended up with some spare so I could replace it.Some of the furniture pieces have options for you to flip over for different colours which is quite fun. I was disappointed that there wasn't a separate bed included, but the settee is supposed to double as the bed by turning it over. However, as the pictures show, the bed is not long enough for Barbie to lie down on, and it serves more as a seat or a visual trick. The instructions state that you should apply the stickers after assembly, but I would suggest trying to apply them before as it's a bit fiddly trying to place them into corners, or even straight! The living room is quite small and once you place the settee inside, there's not much room for the Barbies when sitting down. The Made-to-Move Barbies look better when sitting on the furniture, with the articulation in the knee. I love all the cut-outs which form windows and skylights. Whilst you get some stickers for curtains, I can imagine that some might want to apply fabric curtains, or use acetate to cover the window holes, so there's more scope for creativity. At the time of writing, the house is ÂŁ18.75 which is a bargain. The description does state that the house can be "packed away flat to save space", but it does not fold and once assembled, I think it would be too difficult to take apart again. Aside from this and the lack of a bed, this is a pretty complete house and great for play.
