The strap, any part of it elastic? Making it more comfortable?

There is a short piece of elastic near the buckle but it is not enough to make the shoe comfortable. It is still very floppy.

No I didn’t pay that. I think I paid $40

will these fit narrow feet?

No. They are fairly wide. I have narrow feet and even after putting foam pads in them they were too wide. They aren't comfortable for wearing on uneven surfaces.
