Their stuff is always consistently high-quality, but these Microwave Soup Mugs are really handy. Perfect Size: At 656 ml, they are the ideal size for a generous portion of soup, stew, or even baked beans for your toast. No More Microwave Mess: The steam release vent in the lid is a lifesaver. You can heat your food thoroughly without the lid popping off or creating those dreaded "soup splatters" all over the microwave. Sturdy & Durable: The clips are secure and easy to use, and the handle stays relatively cool, making it much easier (and safer) to grab than a standard ceramic bowl. Easy Clean: They go straight into the dishwasher and come out looking brand new. If you’re looking for a reliable, no-nonsense container for work lunches or quick dinners at home, you can't go wrong here. Sistema just gets it right! Review: They are so versatile and we use them every day in our house, cooking and storing left overs. - I am a massive fan of Sistema containers, as they are so useful for our kitchen. I already had a soup and noodle container, but found it simply wasn’t enough, as they are both used daily, for reheating beans, or heating up spaghetti. We also use them in the fridge, when only needing a small portion of canned goods. I also use them for porridge and heating up garden peas. They keep food odour free and fresh, don’t leak when spitting up during heating and perfect size. Lids are very secure, so you don’t have to worry about them flying off with pressure build up and the vents are so helpful for releasing steam. Portable and the handles make them so easy to use. We couldn’t be without ours and ordered 2 sets to add to our collection. Highly recommend. ## Features - MICROWAVE SOUP MUGS: Ideal for heating soup, stews and hot drinks in the microwave - STEAM RELEASE VENT: Allows for splatter-free heating to keep your microwave clean - EASY TRANSPORTING: Convenient handle makes it simple to transport from microwave to bench - DIMENSIONS: L 142 mm x H 119 mm x W 114 mm - CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Dishwasher (top rack), microwave (with vent open), fridge and freezer-safe; designed and made in New Zealand; phthalate and BPA-free ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09RGW9SV4 | | Best Sellers Rank | 1,258 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) 30 in Containers | | Brand | Sistema | | Capacity | 656 ml | | Closure Type | Clip-On | | Colour | Red | | Container Shape | Round | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 3,342 Reviews | | Food Storage Container Airtightness | Vented | | Global Trade Identification Number | 09414202133014 | | Included Components | Container | | Is the item dishwasher safe? | Yes | | Is the item microwaveable? | Yes | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 33.8L x 11.8W x 12.7H centimetres | | Item Form | Round | | Item Package Quantity | 1 | | Item Type Name | Container | | Item Volume | 0.66 Litres | | Manufacturer | Sistema Plastics | | Material | Plastic | | Material Features | BPA free, Dishwasher safe, Freezer Safe, Microwave Safe, Recyclable | | Material Type Free | BPA Free | | Material feature | BPA free, Dishwasher safe, Freezer Safe, Microwave Safe, Recyclable | | Other Special Features of the Product | Freezer Safe | | Product Care Instructions | Dishwasher (top rack), microwave (with open ventilation), fridge and freezer | | Product dimensions | 33.8L x 11.8W x 12.7H centimetres | | Recommended Uses For Product | Soup | | Size | 656 ml (3 Count) | | Unit Count | 3.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Sistema - **Capacity:** 656 ml - **Colour:** Red - **Material:** Plastic - **Material feature:** BPA free, Dishwasher safe, Freezer Safe, Microwave Safe, Recyclable ## Images ![Sistema Microwave Soup Mugs | 656 ml | Microwave Food Containers with Steam Release Vents | BPA-Free | Red | 3 Count - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81EGyREM2rL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is this any good for a cup of beans with a sausage spoon? Thanks** A: these mugs are brilliant for cooking soups and 3 bean soup, so beans should be fine. lid is not secure enough to transport food in. recommended. I dont know what a sausage spoon is though. **Q: Is one supposed to remove the vent for cleaning? It looks as if it will clog with food & be difficult to clean.** A: Hi, I've used my mug quite a few times now with no issue. I heat chunky soups and the vent has not blocked. I just rinse the lid under a hot tap and all is fine. Very happy with my mug, better than the poundstore versions. **Q: Can you use this to warm oil? Just to warm up not heat it through** A: Just tried it and the answer is, as S4C has said, "Using caution there shouldn't be an issue". But if you don't use caution then watch out! Making sure that the mug is completely dry, I suggest that add a little oil and then with the lid attached give it a few seconds and then test. Still cold? Try another few seconds and so on. That said, I won't be trying to heat oil in the mug again. The consequences of pressing for example the 10 minute key instead of the 10 second one due to a lack of concentration, have frightened me off. **Q: Does one drink directly out of the cup? I have a disabled Aunt with bad arthritis in her hands so want to know how stiff the clip are to open.** A: Hello, yes I drink out of my cup, rally well constructed and light, the 3 clips are also easy to do up and undo, you will have no problem even with your aunt,s arthritis, saves loads of spills in the mircowave ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Practical, easy clean…. *by P***S on 15 March 2026* I’ll admit it—I’m a bit of a Sistema fan.
