mixes easily and sets relatively quickly
This is the third time that I've bought this specific brand/type of epoxy. It mixes easily and sets relatively quickly. Most importantly, it's sandable, making this a pleasure to work with.

Works great, except for the pump length
The product in itself works great, it's much easier to work than cheaper epoxy. I feel like the whole mix solidifies, whereas with cheaper epoxy, the bottom of the mixing cup isn't mixed well and doesn't solidify. The pumps are a great addition. Much easier and faster than weighing or measuring volumes. The one thing I didn't like is that the pumps are not the correct length for the bottles provided. So a piece of plastic tube is provided, and you're supposed to cut it to length and stick it at the bottom of the pump. The length given was slightly too long and so it was impossible to close the bottle. You then have to recut it, spreading resin everywhere. But other than that it's a great product

Great epoxy; convenient starter kit.
First, the Total Boat 2:1 epoxy itself is easy to prepare and work with. Mixes totally clear -- no tinting (unless you add your own). The 2:1 formulation does not have a long open time, especially at warmer temps, and begins to set up pretty quickly, so it's great for smaller jobs, for filling voids, etc. If you need longer open time, look at the 5:1 product formulation. Next, the TotalBoat 2:1 Kit is easy to use right out of the box, with everything necessary to measure, mix and ready a batch for application. Comes with resin & hardener pumps, gloves, mixing sticks, and a plastic mixing container. If you want the measuring PUMPS this kit is a good way to go; if you only need resin & hardener, but them individually, not the kit.

A Convenient Choice with a Price Tag
Working with TotalBoat epoxy was a breeze, thanks to its user-friendly nature. The pre-measured pump system took the guesswork out of mixing, ensuring a perfect ratio every time. This feature not only has saved me time but also reduced the likelihood of errors during the application process. The convenience of having a well-designed pump system cannot be overstated. It streamlined the entire epoxy application, making it accessible even for those with limited experience in epoxy projects. This user-friendly aspect makes TotalBoat epoxy a top choice for both beginners and seasoned craftsmen. While the product's performance is commendable, I couldn't overlook the fact that it comes with a slightly higher price tag. TotalBoat epoxy falls on the pricier side of the spectrum compared to some competitors. This might be a consideration for budget-conscious consumers, as there are alternatives in the market offering similar performance at a lower cost.

Clear, easy to work with and durable
Used it for my cabin sole in the boat to seal and protect including a few sections where the veneer was lifting. Looks great and after 2 years holding up very well. Could look a little better if I sanded and put a few coats of Epifanes varnish on it but it’s good enough as is for now. And that’s just means more time sailing.

Worked Well
I used this product to coat a 2' square battery tray I built for my boat to hold 6 golf cart style batteries. Double 1/2" Okeume plywood bottom with 5/4 x 2 cypress trim. I applied two coats over two days, sanding lightly between coats. I chose the medium hardener for the high 80 degree temperature environment. The coats went on easily and did not set up too quickly. It also flowed out nicely to a uniform consistency and shine. I used foam brushes. Then I sanded lightly and painted with two coats of Interlux Bilgekote enamel.
