Lighter
I'm slowly replacing my older cast iron with Iwachu. It is lighter weight which is much easier for me to handle. The Iwachu quality of this piece is just great. Perfect size for me.

Doesn’t seem to match the price
I also own an Iwachu tamagoyaki pan as a point of comparison. Unfortunately, the surface of the one I received wasn’t consistently smooth throughout. Cast iron was quite sticky even after two rounds of seasoning. This is in contrast to the tamagoyaki pan I own which is amazing.

Versatile
I bought this griddle 2 years ago for Yakisoba and seldom used it. Lately, I have discovered how versatile it is: Food releases smoothly when given the proper time/temp combo.Bacon followed by eggs over light that don’t stick even a little!Put it on the outdoor BBQ grill for perfect Smash Burgers!Clean up is simple with a metal spatula and paper towels.
