arguably the best back support for pain relief
I'm a long time back pain sufferer, back support braces keep my sanity. I was crossing my fingers and toes that this wasn't going to turn out to be a dud, but as it turns out it's the product I've been longing for. I've been using throwaway heat pads for a few years. I would insert them between this type of brace and my back. But they are always too hot and don't last long anyway. This is something else. The heat is not as intense, but it radiates deep into your body more, if that makes any sense. You will know that feeling after taking a hot bath or sitting in the sun for an hour, the heat is in your bones for some time after. The far infrared heat feels deep inside you and you can still feel it even after removing it, it's pretty amazing and feels theraputic. There's a lot of information online about the benefits of far infrared heat. There are a couple of things you should know before buying this product. The first is not to expect the same intensity of heat that a disposable heat pad delivers. Remember that it's a different type of heat that you can feel deep inside your back and is better for you. Even so, I had mine on the top setting, but found I had to reduce it to lowest after 20 minutes or so.The second thing you need to know is that you WILL want to use a portable power bank with it. They give you a USB mains adaptor which would be handy to take on holiday with you (has Europe and USA connections too). However the cable from the controller to the USB connection is fairly short, so your mains socket will need to be near (or use an extension lead). You might think this is a bad thing, but you would NOT want the cable to be TOO long if you're mobile with the device. Portable power banks are cheap if you don't have one (about £5 in the pound shop), and you can just stuff it into the band of the brace or in your pocket. Get a couple of them and keep one on charge is my advice. The great thing is that you can remove the device when you don't want the heat (it detaches easily from the medibrace with velcro). The medibrace works just like a normal medibrace does, supporting your lower back just perfectly without it being too wide or obstructive. The size is exactly the same as my existing medibrace too.Beautiful storage 'drawer' box with it. The quality and look of the brace is excellent. I always fancied a black version and now I have one.All in all, I'm delighted with this.

Working for lower back pain
Being tall and driving for work always gives you lower back pain. Got this for myself and been using this every other day and feeling reliefed already. Three different heat levels to pick from according to your needs.Brace is perfect size and fit's comfortably. You can directly power with the adapter supplied or you can use a powerbank, make sure the power bank is powerful enough. At the time of review this product was available for £64.85.

BURN WOUNDS
I have sustained burn wounds from my new MEDIBRACE, RAY-D8. I have been using ot for the last 2 months (suffers from severe back pain and neurological damage due to accident). I felt on Saturday that suddenly it felt warmer as normally and I switched it off. Later that evening, I saw the blister and burn mark. The second photo is this evening. I have it on as I am writing this review, and to confirm, at the side of where the electrical cable connects, it is extremely warm - to warm for treatment.

3out5 good belt
They say the Infrared heating pad works best if the usb is pointing downwords you can onlyl do that is if they added Velcro on pouch that holds the heat pad? The reason i returned mine soon as put mine on with heating pad was excellent till I sat down the heat pad would stop working if you fix these 2 things ive mentioned I might buy again. Cheers 🍻 guys

Needs a big battery pack to last all day
Is easy to use and fits well the lead is long . It would help if it had a pocket to fit battery in but very warm on your back for 1 hour timed

Not just for bad backs.
Although it's meant to soothe a bad back, I'm using it to help restore the use in my hands. I've put the heating pad in the net holder and have placed one hand at a time on the pad set to level 2. It's early days but I detect some improvement.

Incomplete product: misleading description
This does not come with a battery pack. So you can only use the heat pad if you are standing next to the plug socket with the very short lead provided. Alternatively you can buy a separate battery pack. This is mentioned in the small print but overall I felt the product description and photos to be misleading as they certainly imply that you a purchasing a complete and usable product, which you are not. There are several other options on Amazon and elsewhere that come with a battery in this price range,

Heat pad stopped working
*UPDATE* - the manufacturers contacted me and were very helpful. They replaced the heat pad and sent a free medicare brace as a gift (which I was going to purchase for my mum anyway!)Also sent a very nice apology note (small things make a big difference!)Great great customer service. Thank you to the medicare team_______________________________________Bought this item for my mum, the brace itself is sturdy and solid but the infrared heat pad only lasted just about 2 months until it stopped emitting heat
