Q: How wide are the "nibbles" made by this thing?

The tool makes a nibble that is about 1/8 inch wide. It is great for small adjustments of your work, and is very easy to use. recommended only for small jobs.

Q: how wide does the jaw open? I want to cut a plastic fan case to install a toggle switch. I dont want the mess of a dremel, file, or grinder.

This thing works like a champ for cutting thin sheet metal. I've tried several nibblers and this is my favorite. That said, I don't know how well it would work for what you want to do. Dunno about plastic. I measured the jaw opening at 1.89mm.

Q: will it work on 24G stainless steel sheet edge?

I DO NOT THINK IT WILL WORK. TOOL IS GOOD ON ALUM. TO PRODUCE SQUARE OR RECTANGULAR HOLES. THIS CUTS SMALL NOTCHES OUT OF THE METAL. IT IS DIFFICULT TO MAKE A STRAIGHT EDGE.
