Why Blot Out the Eye?
Great idea for the intention of this painting and phenomenal art work. However, I think this painting would be more powerful, not making the character look like he has an eye injury. The other painting of this image, with the mustache and the mouth blotted out, makes him look so sad. He does not look like a motivated king on a throne. Does the blot out of the facial parts represent that this man could be any man? The facial expression doesn't look content like a king. The positive quote printed is appreciated.
