Many people have flown remote control airplanes - even more have flown remote control helicopters - but we bet you've never flown a remote control bird before! Our remote control bird is easy to fly, and the detailed instruction manual will have you going in minutes! E-bird flaps its wings just like a real bird, climbing, swooping, and diving through the air. A rudder on the birds tail allows you to direct the birds left or right. You can control the speed of the wings to make the bird climb higher and fly faster, or to just hover in place. Constructed from lightweight and durable materials, our remote control bird is unlikely to break in a crash, and since it weighs less than half an ounce, you can fly it indoors without worrying about your household items. The bird is capable of controlled flight within up to 70 feet, meaning you can let it soar way above your head. If it gets out of range the wings will lock, allowing the bird to gently glide until it reaches the ground. Available in four different models to choose: Blue Pigeon, Green Parrot, Pink Butterfly and Orange Phoenix.

Loved it sooooo much we had to get another!
We saw this bird at a homeschooling convention. Flying around the building this bird looked awesome. My 11 year old daughter couldn't get it out of her mind. Since I didn't buy one at the time I searched on found the exact same one on Amazon. Cheaper of course. Anyway all of the family loves it. I am 50 years old and I love flying it. We have not had any problems with crashing or damage. It is very light weight since it has a Styrofoam body. The wings flutter so as it is descending to the ground most of the time you can flap the wings to help glide it in. Some times it does get out of range so you can flap the wings however it lands pretty gracefully on it's own most of the time. My husband has crashed it into the house but it was fine and did not sustain any damage. It has gotten stuck in trees and most of the time a little fluttering of the wings gets it out. We have had to find other ways to get it out and you do have to be careful about fluttering the wings too much when stuck in a tree. Careful not to damage the wings with a sharp branch. Oh and another thing to be careful about is cats! Our cats want desperately to catch this bird. They watch and watch and even try to jump for it. We put them in the house when flying. The bird's head does light up making it really cool to fly in the late evenings! Also easier to spot in trees. It is easy to charge and holds the charge for quite a long time.Like a said to start we enjoyed the first one so much we quickly ordered a second for my 12 year old daughter. Not both are flying their birds together and we are having a blast watching. They are both practicing to put on a show when their grandparents come to visit next week.My favorite thing about this bird it that the wings flutter. When you compare the bird to a plane you can see what a huge difference the fluttering wings make especially when landing or "falling with style". We as parents have said over and over if that was a plane it would have been damaged or ruined a long time ago. Our birds have many hours of flight already and still going strong. Even if it broke today I would be very pleased and how long it lasted and quickly buy another.I am buying more to keep on hand for birthdays, Christmas ... it is so much fun and well worth the $20. I can't wait for the next birthday party my girls go to. They will be giving the best gift ever!

hard to fly, when it crashes bye bye birdie
when my sons got RC helecopters from their grandpa for birthday presents last year, my daughter also wanted her version of a flying toy. She used birthday money from grandpa to buy this bird. It's cute, and when it works, it's a lot of fun, but it's difficult for a child to fly, crashed most of the time (probably due to our lack of skill) and the tail broke off easily. I used a sewing pin and superglue to reattach the tail, but it isn't quite the same. Too bad it isn't a little more durable. For Christmas, my daughter used her money to buy a Flutterbye Fairy and even though it's not RC. We both appreciated it's ease of use and durability over the bird.A coordinated adult, may find this bird works better for their skill.

So much fun!! Fixed the nose with a needle.
So much fun. It's crazy fragile but a ton of fun. My daughter who is 9 does okay flying it. The nose broke off twice. The first time I used hot glue to fix it. The second time I used a sewing needle and hot glue. I stuck half the needle into the nose piece right through the center of the broken side of the styrofoam and then the other half of the needle tacked it back in place with some more hot glue to hold it all together, the needle acts kind of like rebar. So it is now reinforced and hasn't broken since. The weight of the needle hasn't effected the birds flying at all.

Shocked at how well it flies
Ok, so as a pilot and someone who likes RC planes and helicopters, I was fully prepared to trash this product. No way it flies well and can be controlled, but my 8 year old daughter was begging me for it.I'm actually shocked at how well it flies. It's fragile, although with the wrecks we've had so far, it's still fine. I had to beef up where the tail attaches with some tape, and it tends to pull to the right, but it's fairly simple to compensate for it. The damn thing actually flies like a bird. My 8 year old can actually fly it pretty well. You can even control altitude pretty well with the throttle (for lack of a better term). I like it so much, I may actually buy another so we can fly them together!

pink flying bird
This rc bird is the second of two that we ordered. They were packed very well, easy to fly, and so far, they have been very durable. On my previous review of our first blue bird, we failed to mention the extra goodies being that the birds have lighted beaks (easy for night locating) and the rc controller has authentic sounding bird calls. No wires or lasers, just a free flying bird.

Clicked it into the remote to charge and it sucked up 8 batteries and never charged at all
Sent this right back. The bird wouldn't charge, there was not "on/off" switch on the bird just a hole where the button should have been. Clicked it into the remote to charge and it sucked up 8 batteries and never charged at all. I received a full refund from the company and was very pleased with the transaction on that score. Don't waste your money, I should have listened to the reviews.

Cool toy, but it won't make it through the day.
This was a great Christmas present for my nine-year-old daughter. If I had paid $15 for the bird it would have been okay that it didn't quite make it through Christmas Day before breaking.I expected it to break based on the reviews, but I hoped we'd get a few days out of it first. My daughter is a gentle girl and she was very careful with it, but the parts and pieces are so light and fragile, it just doesn't have a chance when it comes to durability. I wish it came with a few replacement parts or a repair kit. That would make it more okay and fixable. It's a cool toy and it really does fly, but it was really disappointing that it didn't last the day.
