I recently purchased the S.H.Figuarts Son Goku action figure as a gift for my son, and I’m thrilled to say he absolutely loved it. As a fan of the Dragon Ball series, he was ecstatic to receive this figure, especially with its tie-in to the upcoming 2022 film “DRAGON BALL SUPER: SUPER HERO.” The attention to detail on this figure is truly impressive. Standing at around 6” tall, it captures Son Goku’s likeness perfectly, with detailed sculpts and vibrant coloring. The inclusion of three optional expression parts and multiple hand options allows for a variety of dynamic poses, adding to the figure’s versatility and display options. What’s even more appealing is the quality of the materials used. Constructed from PVC and ABS, the figure feels sturdy and well-made, ensuring it will stand the test of time even with regular play or display. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. It brought joy to my son’s face, and seeing him enjoy it makes it worth every penny. I'm an intense, ultra, die hard fan of everything Dragon Ball. And it's very hard not to love the main protagonist of this amazing and action packed series. Once I saw the online photos of this well made figure by Shfiguarts I could not resist. Some things to take note of ; this Goku Figure is not much of a toy but a collectors item and is meant for moderate pose ability, I'd definitely recommend everyone to keep these away from children and just focus on collecting it yourselves. Now on to some other stuff. This awesome figure comes with different faces and they're all amazing. It also comes with different hand poses. Again, all amazing. There's a subtle tone of color on the pants which fade into a gradient. It's also worth noting the skin color is spot on. This has very extreme movie likeness to what you see in the movie DB: superhero, even if he wasn't on the movie that much, they captured all the necessary details. Once you have this bad boy out the package, * I recommend you keep the box * He looks like a straight up statue model right out the movie. It's just that good. I highly recommend this Goku to any DB/DBZ/DBsuper fan. I'm definitely hooked on this new wave of figures from Tamashi Nations and it's game on from here. 👍🏻

Pretty good I’d say but the arm did come out a little but it was fine, the box is really nice. No damage done, over all it’s a nice and cool figure I’d say it could be just 30$ but it’s alright pretty nice.

Very good figure: it's high quality. However, more accessories like the kamehameha or the beams could be included 😉

My grandson absolutely loved this figure. It fully articulates and that is what he wanted. Perfect gift. Hard to find!

Great figure good details but after a week the leg got really loose too the point where it could not stand then the peg on the hand snapped disappointed

So far I’ve only gotten Goku and Vegeta from this set not Gohan or Piccolo so I’m not sure if they would have the same issues I’ll list in this review, but they look better and also use the new 3.0 body sclupts so I’m confident they are better off. To begin this Goku design is VERY specific to his design in the Dragon Ball Super Hero movie, which is something that may be a plus or minus depending on how you feel on his design in the movie. I personally prefer his classic look as this one can look kind of off from what I imagine Goku to look like. Secondly I had several QC issues with the articulation of this figure. To start the right arm just felt a bit squeaky and always felt like it would begin to loosen and lose the ability to hold a pose. Then the right leg became so loose that it eventually fell out of the joint and would barely go back in. This issue is fixable using a paper towel, but in my opinion the figure was already at strike 2 after the odd looking faces and wonky arm so when the leg popped off and was so loose it would come out without any effort I decided to finally strike out this fig and send it back it to get the Sayian Raised on Earth figure instead, which from my research doesn’t have the same issues. I would give the Super Hero Goku 2 stars but I’m technically reviewing more than one figure the review score will be different. Vegeta on the other hand is a lot better off in my opinion. He’s definitely not perfect as he has some odd foot joints and the arm articulation is a bit rubbery feeling as well, however I actually got him to swap heads with the practically perfect Super Saiyan Blood Vegeta figure which I think turned out much better than it has any right to. That figure isn’t listed here but it is fantastic and in my opinion the articulation is better than the super hero vegeta in this listing as well as comes with more accessories. I would give the super hero vegeta alone probably 3.5 or 4 stars because it does have issues and honestly is kind of meh on its own, however if you can afford to get both the Super Hero and Super Sayain Blood Vegeta it brings up the rating a lot because swapping the Super Sayain head to the Super hero body really makes the Super Hero body look better than with just a base form head and vice versa for the saiyan armor body. My final thoughts are honestly to avoid the Goku unless the movie design is your absolute favorite, and get the vegeta if you want a good base form head, or a body that works really well for a majin/super vegeta style body, or just like his outfit from the movie.
