I used to buy hollister from the drug store and pay $180.00 per 20 of them. Plus having to go to the Doctor to get a script for them. For the most part they worked pretty good. Now saying that, when you have to pay that out of your pocket every month, well you get the picture. Now with these I can get about 90 of them for the same price. So this is what you do, where the seam is, run two inch tape all the way around it. Keeps it in place for up to 5 days. Then where the opening is, I don't use the fastner that they give me. I make my own, a lot easier to take off and on. I just roll the end up and put paper clip fastners, the clip kind. Also when you put them on use skin protecter wipes and make sure the skin is really dry or it won't stick right.,

First of all I'll start this off by saying, this was one of the Worst purchases I have made on Amazon in a long time! Everything that could go wrong with these Colostomy Pouches did go wrong! First off the Pouches wouldn't stay on my Mother's Stomach, I'm her Caretaker and have been for the past several years now. Secondly the pouches tore apart at the seam, and when I say they tore apart at the seam they just basically fell apart!!! Thirdly the boxes also included 10 pouch clips along with the 10 pouches in each box, which we ended up buying two boxes BIG MISTAKE because they were each $25.99 per box, Anyways the clips several times just wouldn't stay closed and would come undone whenever it felt like doing so! And so with all this Negativity in regards to my Mom's terrible experience, and lastly I'll say this PLEASE PEOPLE do your Homework and DO NOT PURCHASE THESE NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE YOU MAY BE, in needing to get a box of Colostomy Pouches . Just go with the Brand that your used to and that you know and are comfortable with, even if it may happen to cost even more money!! SO AFTER ALL THE PROBLEMS AND ISSUES THAT MY MOTHER AND I EXPERIENCED, She said you need to call Amazon right now and request a refund and tell them everything that's screwed up and flawed about these Colostomy Pouches, because she didn't want anyone else to go thru what she went thru with the Pouches! After I spoke with an Amazon customer service Representative, She was very polite and apologetic about what my Mother had experienced and assured me that she was going to speak to her Superior about taking down and removing that specific Vendor who was selling the Colostomy Pouches, and also that I would receive a complete and full refund in the amount of just a little over $51.00 Bucks! So after all was said and done I didn't have to return the Colostomy Pouches they told me there was no need to return the defective Items...and all I had to do was just throw them in the trash or whatever I chose to do with them was totally up to me. They made it clear to me that there was no need to return any unused Pouches! I recieved my refund within 1 1/2 Hours and they put my total refund onto a Digital Amazon Gift card! Wheeeew that was one heck of a review! Hopefully potential buyers out there will read this Review so they can all be aware!!

I've used this product before . The contoured clip seal was really good . Though I don't care too much for filters or vents the seal was great and bag was durable . Most of the "medical grade" post op bags are quite expensive but not meant to be used forever . Xhivar offers a top notch product for functionality and durability while offering a reasonable price . In comparison to the larger companies Hollister ,Coloplast,and Convatecs vast amounts of looks medicinal . XHIVAR offers a quality durable product in it's one piece and extremelycompetitive wear time especially for the price . As your lower end standard wear from those big three are still more expensive than XHIVAR . Yet this product wears as if it is active wear . For someone who likes to cut to the chase and wants to ditch the pastes removals and get out and go pardon the pun this is a great and economic alternative .

We have been buying (out of pocket) the Convatec 22771 for years for a member of the family. Figured we'd take a chance on bags at half the price and see what happens.These bags perform great. Wish they had a clear front so you can see placement better, but it's manageable. The curved clip is better IMHO. Not real sure the 'charcoal disc' does anything.The things that are better vs the Convatec are: the wax disc is a little thinner and thus melds to the abdomen better and moves way better. The adhesion ring is a little wider.Honestly, it seems like someone looked at the 22771 and said "how can we make this better and cost less?" and did it.Not too thrilled about the country of origin, but when you're paying out of pocket, dollars matter.

I have only used one of these ostomy bags as of now. They were very light weight. Larger then what I am use to so have to do some practice on the cutting for stoma size.The one I used barely stayed on a day but not blaming the item itself. I am so use to my regular ostomy bags that I have used for 3 years. I think after practice with cutting to fit properly they would be ok especially for the price

Poor poor poor !! You get what you pay for !!!! Tears at the glue seams ! Out of The 1st 5 I used 3 tore at the glue seams & would give me nightmares about coming apart when I sleep !! Returned all unused uncut (3 boxes) . The material is very thin & flimsy , have to replace 2 times aday poor poor design ... Will go back to using Convatec

My wife who takes care of this for our son says they are as good as the more expensive kind. Only you must make sure it is completely clean with a skin prep and completely dry. We like them.
